Don't believe a single advice from government council to jump-start the economy by opening bars and restaurants in Xmas

 No parties, no outings ...

Better stay safe in home, just saying.

Given the average Thai intellect it can be safely said, that the upcoming Xmas/New Year business out of Bangkok just got nicely toasted with the compliments of a siht stirrer in Saraphi.

Fear mongering gutter journalism at its best..

MAY is not have.

Right. I for one, couldn't care less regardless how many cases. Fully vaxed and am traveling extensively starting next month, including Chiang Mai, unless the "Covidiots" lock and shut everything down again. 1 case or 100,000 or more...don't care. Will this madness never end?!?

How can anyone have had contact with a new variant if everyone entering the country is tested upon arrival?  If no one is entering the country and being allowed into the general populace without testing, then how can the new variant get here?

There are land borders. Also, the rapid tests may have false negatives.

Maybe you have forgotten what happened in December last year: porous land borders and ineffective policing.

Thai women are very popular with [the 1G1-7 Hotel] clientele, who are described by the Tachileik resident as, “fat military generals from Yangon”.”

Omicron is still unknown what it will and can do, but apparently vaccines are weak against it.

There have been over 200,000 cases in South Africa and the information coming out of that country says it is a far weaker strain, 2-3 days just like the flu. The vaxx is weak against all strains.
