Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha played an old hit song, “Ya Yom Pae” (Never Give Up) by singer Sunisa “Aom” Sukboonsang, to his colleagues in the middle of a meeting of the economic management committee today (Friday).

Chairing the meeting, the prime minister told members of the committee that he will never give up and that he played the song to offer moral support to the attendees, encouraging them to fight on like him, despite all the obstacles, for the good of the country and the people.

The choice of song appears timely. The government’s stability has been shaken by the departure, albeit by sacking, of 21 MPs from the party yesterday, led by Thammanat Prompao, former deputy agriculture minister and secretary-general of the Palang Pracharat party (PPRP), for demanding a complete revamp of the party, a demand which was rejected as unacceptable by 78 members of the party’s executive committee and MPs.

Just about sums up the dumb clown, singing for his supper is about all he can do because he hasn't a clue about how to run the country.

Do I sense you have a problem with him ?

More nonsense from a man with so little talent, such a lack of political IQ, intelligence, capability, vision, and such a lack of compassion for the people.

You want to boost morale? Try to do something to benefit the people, for a change. Try getting the people back to work. Show some courage and consistency with regard to tourism. Do your job, and maybe you can lift your real approval rating beyond 2%. It is not easy working for a desperate, and power hungry man and an administration that is despised like never before. Being the recipient of much scorn, is never a good morale booster.

Songs are just songs, and are another embodiment of your lack of sincerity, and substance, Cha Cha.

Frankly, there are only a few tens of thousands people in Thailand who don't. And most of them are generals and a small percent of government workers.

Sweet Leaf = Black Sabbath

We know the tune your playing- you 'harp' on about it incessantly, but I’m calling you a 'lyre' …

I'd say "Never accept defeat" would be a closer translation. And that's a far more worrying message than never give up...
