Popular Post webfact
BANGKOK, Feb 24 (TNA) – The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation signed a memorandum of cooperation with Siam Makro PCL to use food waste from the company to feed the wild animals that are under the care of the department. Thanya Netithammakul, director-general of the department, said the number of animals under the department’s care was rising because it increasingly received wild animals rescued from trafficking and abuse while having limited budgets to provide the care. The budget in fiscal 2022 was further reduced and would be enough for a few months of care for the wild animals only. Meanwhile, COVID-19 heavily decreased the income of the department from entry fees at national parks and wildlife sanctuaries from 2 billion baht to only 300 million baht a year, he said. Popular Post KhunLA
That's actually common practice in many places (or used to be), giving past date food away, or even unfinished restaurant scraps from the table for animal consumption. I / we did the same at restaurants I worked, and KP duty at US Army base, Ft Dix, NJ, USA and literally nothing, food wise, made it to the trash can. All went to the slop can / dumpster, and sold or given to the pig farmers in the area. Now at home, most scraps, go to the compose pile. Nothing is wasted. The world probably throws away more food than the starving could eat. Getting it to them is the hard part ???? dinsdale
The food is more than likely suitable for human consumption. Still TIT. Govt does not care about the poor and starving. Mind you most goverments don't. Edited February 24, 2022 by dinsdale

Do a free handout in Thailand they'll queue all night in readiness and won't even care what it is, but they'll be grateful.
