Popular Post snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Pattaya City Municipality has launched two major development projects aimed at promoting the seaside city as an international tourism and investment center. The projects, which are parts of the "Neo Pattaya" development, are the "Neo Koh Lan" and "Old Town Na Klua". Pattaya mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem announced Wednesday that the majority of the plans’ subprojects, including the Pattaya City drainage system project, had also been budgeted. Sonthaya stated that the Neo Koh Lan proposal includes a number of development goals, including the enhancement of utilities, piers, waste management, and water consumption and treatment systems. The mayor stated that the city is developing Pattaya City Hospital, particularly its outpatient department, which includes eye, bone and joint, and renal centers, as well as its chronic disease service, as part of the so-called Neo Pattaya program. Pattaya is at the same time collaborating with a National Reform Council subcommittee to establish affiliated schools, with Muang Pattaya school 11 serving as a model for children’s education. Sonthaya said the city will continue monitoring each project to ensure it is completed on time and according to the plan. -- © Copyright NNT 2022-03-03 - Aetna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post jacko45k
I was thinkin this yesterday as I drove around and came across 3 different areas where road works were seriously impeding traffic... the largest being Threppasit Rd, and another where soi Watboon meets Jomtien BR.... right there at the lights a truck blocking the whole lane...... Good to see work is 'progressing', albeit at a snails pace, but for heavens sake, we have had over 2 years of opportunity and still it goes on.

Andycoops
Surely a first, completed on time. Every so called project to do with infrastructure is just left abandoned before it's completed. You only have to look at Pattaya Nua, Klang and Tai as examples. And the ones to do with drainage don't work. 1 2

Only 3 ? Then there is the project at Pattaya Tai/second Rd to Jomtien. While all this never ending infrastructure work is increasing now they have to "upgrade" Ko lan and old town Naklua. So welcome to the never ending construction zone. As if that bs parking project at was once a nice entrance to the park. If they think visitors visit to put up with construction zones that are replacing the original environment we shall see how that works out for them.

dlclark97
First challenge is to make the Pattaya Bay area suitable for swimming. A daunting task but the restaurants, street vendors and residents must be stopped from putting their food and other waste down the sewer drains. This does nothing but pollute the bay waters that many years back were pristine.

Agreed - as an old git with wonky legs I cannot risk walking on the ''pavement'' which only runs for three metres at a time before stopping at a loosely fitted temporary drain cover or area of exposed water pipes or electricity cables, for fear of falling over or falling down a hole. The ''City Municipality'' has merely paved the easy bits but the remainder seems to be too much of a challenge. It is somewhat ironic when it is actually safer to walk in the road than it is on the pavement !

Don't forget the other three apartment buildings on the other side of the bay towards Wongamat and Naklua, designed by Rangsan Torsuwan, they guy that designed the ghost tower in Bangkok (Sathorn Unique Tower), Rajamangala Stadium, Amarin Plaza, Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, and the State Tower. In 1993, Torsuwan was arrested for allegedly plotting to murder the President of the Supreme Court. Although the murder never occurred, Torsuwan was in fact found guilty in 2008, only to be acquitted in 2010. https://the-line-up.com/ghost-tower-bangkok His son complaining about Westerners freerunning in the abandoned building in Bangkok and a little more information on the case. https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/sathorn-unique-owner-files-complaint-against-team-farang-trespassing/ 1
