Popular Post snoop1130 Posted April 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 4, 2022 Revellers use water guns to spray at one another as they celebrate the Buddhist New Year, locally known as Songkran, in Bangkok on April 14, 2019. (Photo by Jewel SAMAD / AFP) Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said today (Monday) that he is confident that COVID-19 infections, which are anticipated to surge during and after the long Songkran long break, will be kept under control, thanks to mass vaccinations. He said that the Ministry of Public Health is, however, concerned about the many elderly people and children under five who are not yet inoculated and he has been urging them to get vaccinated before Songkran this month. He also advised parents not to take their young children to hospitals, because hospitals contain patients suffering from various diseases and a number of children have been found to be infected with COVID-19 after visits to them. Has nobody told him Songkran is in 8 days time. Vaccines take at least 2 weeks to become effective and people should’ve had 3 shots by now? No I guess they haven’t told him. So why are the infections back up to or over 20,000 again now, with high rates of death? 6

Popular Post Swampy999 Posted April 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2022 "Under control thanks to mass vaccinations" then in the next breath "concerned about the many elderly people and children under five who are not yet inoculated" And so the comedy act continues. 3
thailand49 Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 At least he isn't claiming the virus is no match for their medical system! ???? I cross my finger since nothing he has proclaimed has come true. 1
stephenterry Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Same old diatribe. give it a rest. Covid is here to stay, and we will live or die with it. As for vaxxes, I haven't heard that any protect against being infected by the EX variant. If you're healthy with no serious medical issues, you shouldn't freeze with fear every time yet another Public health post is published on this site. 1

dinsdale Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 It mattered when it was Delta it doesn't matter now it's Omicron B.2. Let it spread. 4 million+ infections in 1 wk in the UK and they're not concerned. 1
Caldera Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Bring it on! I doubt much will happen, as Omicron is already everywhere all over Thailand anyway. 2

Popular Post Lacessit Posted April 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2022 The last two Songkhrans, when interprovincial travel was permitted, there was a surge of infections afterwards. That was starting from a fairly low infection base. This time around, the infection base is high, and very probably underestimated by the Government. That's because many people are self-testing and self-isolating to avoid official quarantine. I'd suggest either Anutin is hoping the Omicron variants don't present the same mortality rate as previous mutations, or he is smoking some serious <deleted>. 3
Popular Post Clarkey611 Posted April 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2022 With a nut in charge, what could possibly go wrong? 5
Popular Post crazykopite Posted April 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted April 5, 2022 Okay that’s good news the idiot has spoken and spewed yet more verbal diarrhoea 2 2
Mavideol Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 no idea where he's getting the info as to the mass vaccination, in my neighborhood maybe 2-3% of the people are vaccinated and the infections are showing up on a daily basis with the health department coming around red tapping the house indicating infected place as for kids, in my kid school NONE of the 7-12 years old are vaccinated thus easy to assume the other kids in the neighborhood are not as well.... but should be ok, all under control because Prayut said so 2

dallen52 Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Geez, they talk rubbish at times. Well, most times. 1
herfiehandbag Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 It will be manageable because it will not be met with testing, diagnosis or treatment; and the numbers will largely go unreported. Stay at home, we will tie a bit of red string across the entrance and give you (maybe) a slack handful of medicines. 2
