I am trying to find similar people with similar experiences.

Thanks for your clown reponse.????

Not exactly a clown response.

Don't quote me on this, but even with an unlimited download / upload account, I believe ISP's record daily internet use for account holders.   They may be able to tell you what date your account showed 0 Mb's activity, and that's the day your service went down.

Thanks.

I've had  same service about 6 years up. Bill paid auto by bank monthly so ok there.

Original question still stands though.

Is there a way to determine how long the connection has been out?

PC troubleshooter gives zip.

Cheers.

Ask your supplier?

Unless you left your PC on it can't help you. But it's not usual to  leave a PC or even a modem on when you leave the house for long periods of time.

If you did leave your PC there might be a data use recorder in the system.

Even without the ISP interrupting the service mine probably goes off 2-3 times a month for a few minutes due to the electricity going off. Only way to know remotely is if you have a Wi-Fi camera you can log into.

You would have to have a UPS, otherwise, what would power the wifi camera when the power goes down, and if you have to have a UPS, why not power the modem / router off it as well?

Thanks for responses.

I am now guessing that there is no way of determining how long internet has been down.

Outage was fixed outside of my house.

There is, but it is probably above your pay grade.

Log in to the router

Examine the log

My guess is that it was down for between 1 minute and 5 weeks.
