In Europe the new version of the E Class is on sale, this campaign is on the old model, which I prefer. I think the dashboard on this model is superb. The manufacturers all seem to be in panic mode.

Do electric cars have an air pollution problem? Its overall findings: "The study found heavier electric cars cause marginally more road and tyre wear for the larger PM 10 particles and the smaller PM 2.5. Yet once engine pollution is added in, petrol and diesel cars were marginally worse."
March 8, 20242 yr Keep in mind there are two types of pollutants: gaseous and particulate. Tire particulate pollution as being talked occurs as vehicles roll down. And of course if you want to go back upstream the manufacturing of tires causes more particulate pollution along with gaseous pollution.

March 9, 20242 yr Living next to a factory/refinery/pig farm/etc.,...regardless of what its making...is something I hope I never have to experience. Just too many possible pollutants that can appear in the air, soil, and/or water....and even if the pollutants are supposedly within safe limits a person will always have the feeling that maybe those govt limits are not really safe or are not accurate.
March 9, 20242 yr I saw an Ora Lightning Cat on the road yesterday. Verdict: ugly as Hell. Very frumpy, and looked as though someone had been rummaging in the Porsche/VW parts bin, joined a few bits together and then stuck some Bentley rear lights on. BYDs, Deepals, generally look bespoke and very very nicely designed. This just looks like a hodgepodge of copied bits of other cars, not impressed.

Below is "just an example" of many such websites to further explain how archive sites get around Paywalls....and of course if the article is not on any archive website then the article is still only available on the original Paywall site. https://www.removepaywall.com/

It will give Transman the opportunity to reignite his one-man crusade, the purpose of which is remind us all about 1924, Morris Garages, performance rides, heritage, Union Jack flags on the boot/trunk door and the sacred British iconic MG name - and how we've all been duped by those devious, crafty Chinese into believing MG is still a British company. A worthy cause indeed and I, for one, wish him all the success he deserves for his endeavours. He's earned it. I’ve already written to my member of parliament in the UK and I encourage all true Brits to do the same!

The X-Power has the same performance as a BYD Seal AWD but most reviewers state that apart from the 0-60 time it’s not much different to a regular MG4 The green colour is an expensive add on. Having said that I bet it will surprise a few performance cars at the lights.

March 11, 20242 yr Don't know if anyone posted this yet. but besides making Horizon's Neta v, the PTT's subsidiary Arun Plus, will also be making 2 more brands of electric vehicles (EVs) – ZEEKR and XPENG PTT being the state owned oil company, in case you think EVs are just a fad in TH. Yea ... let that one sink in, take as long as you need PTT ... Petrol & CSs, (mini malls) battery manufacturer and 3 different makes of EVs .. so far.
March 11, 20242 yr Following the Neta theme: https://carnewschina.com/2024/03/08/netas-indonesia-plant-set-for-vehicles-to-roll-off-the-assembly-line-next-month/ What about the Thai Neta factory ? https://www.neta.co.th/en/news/brands-pr-news/NetaVll_factory Looks like the Thai Neta factory will concentrate on the release of Neta V II anytime now. The first car off the production line was a Neta V II back in Nov 2023
March 12, 20242 yr Popular Post Does anybody else follow this company on FB? Quite impressive what they do with their EV tear downs to become a 3rd party service center. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100095486864026 Interesting tidbit on BYD: although BYD is known for being heavily vertically integrated, they don't shy away from using 3rd party systems (this one is the Atto 3) even more strange is that they marry ZF and their own sub-assembly together. And for the haters: ZF is a well known, high quality German company - how does that fit into the narrative of cheap Chinese cars? 😇
