How many more extensions are needed to reach the supposed date of a general election? And then he will use the SoE to delay the election in the name of Covid safety. As we say, sh*t sticks to a blanket!

That's how it will come. The coupmakers wrote themselves a beautiful constitution that automatically guarantees them 250 seats in parliament. And yet they are afraid of losing power. Every dirty trick is used to disable democracy. Here, possible election dates are announced and then often postponed in an autocratic manner, as it was the case with the territorial princes in the Middle Ages. It is unclear whether and when there will be the next parliamentary elections.

The tolerance of the population for this government decreases with each passing day.

How do they expect tourists to visit a country that is in a state of emergency. Who knows what might happen next.

It is more difficult and expensive for tourists to obtain travel insurance when a country is under an emergency order. So much for encouraging tourism

The person himself said that section 112 did not need to be enforced but this Government doesn't care and use it to silence people. And rubbish to blame the few thousand cases of Covid to keep the emergency decree.. The Governmern is and was never honest, lies and controls the media, and freedom of speech by this decree. They want tourists, but with the possibility that everything can change immediately they will not come

it was always about control they will never let go

They could quite easily drop the emergency decree if they wanted to. With a good enough reason, i.e. a worsening of the covid situation, they could simply reinstate it.

But they don't want to and we know the reason why!

Things only change in Thailand when millions of Thais are on the streets and protest. This has been the case in the past and will continue to be so in the future.

8 years of prayut means:

- National debt at record high

- senseless military spending

- Tourism figures -95%

- enormous inflation

- Normal population with debts up to their necks

- Emergency Laws

- Intransparency about the use of taxpayers' money

- ongoing corruption at all levels

- Abolition of democratic control bodies

- no land-, police-, school-, pension-, administrative- or tax reforms

- and much more.

Personally, I don't know of any Thai who is better off economically under Prayut than before Prayut.

Whether with or without emergency laws, on same day the dissatisfaction will boil over.

Desperate to keep hold of the power and the control. The same sort of thing has been happening around the world, they loved the control and see the benefits of keeping it. The benefits for them that is.

"Everybody" knows why the Emergency Decree is to be extended again (18 times now?) and it is f**** nothing at all to do with Covid!

This guy is determined to hang on to power - even to the detriment of the country - "end of"!

...and this is how authoritarian governments stay in power and the people watch democracy die

Another random emergency decree.

Uh-huh. How convenient.

The AXA Thailand Sawadee Inbound travel insurance makes no mention of a "State of Emergency" in its detailed Policy wording.

The same person who dismissed claims in 2014 that there was going to be a coup !

Clown !

This guy and his side kick aren't going to give this power they have over everyone anytime soon. Remember: they alone, nobody else saved Thailand in the Pandemic.Ha!
