Do you walk faster than your wife/GF?

Some of us walk faster than our significant others.

 

Others might be slower due to injuries, being middle-aged, or just wanting to take it easy.

 

And for others, it probably depends on the situation.

I walk the same speed.  My wife's speed depends on whether she is in a mood are not.

My wife for whatever reason usually likes to walk behind me which I find frustrating when she is far more fitter and capable than me.

We probably walk at a similar pace. However, her taking about 200 photos in 9 holes of golf means she always lags behind.

It's not difficult to walk faster than my mrs, I'm about 5'11" and she's lucky to get over 5'. I have to slow down for her.

My wife walks slower then me but that is ONLY because she needs a Knee operation but she is not doing the operation. So I walk the same speed as her.

I walk about the same speed as my wife. She is only 3ins smaller than me and I am 6 ft.

Depends on what we are walking towards - a somtam stall, and she's a woman on a mission and she practically sprints. 

 

If we go for a pleasant stroll in the park then she can nearly go backwards. Im thinking of hanging a bowl of pla raa in front of her, carrot and stick style.

Yes, and she complains that I walk in front of her instead of next to her. The problem being that when I slow down to let her catch up, she slows down as well.

Madam Moon walks a lot faster than me when we're heading for the shopping mall or supermarket, then slows down to the usual Thai snail's pace once we get there!

I can't really remember. It's been a very long time since we walked anywhere together. 

I do remember going for a countryside walk with her in the UK back in 2009 and I have no memory of loosing her so she must have kept up.

If you're walking slowly and you're only middle-aged, you probably have an injury.

When walking near handbag or shoe shops I tend to speed up, whilst she tends to slow down or stop.

The opposite applies when near a tools shop.

Mine anoys me by constantly swapping sides looks like am talking to myself. I told her if you keep doing that the world will end e.g if ant and Dec change sides the world is over.

My wife does that ,nearly tripping me up on occasions she cant come up with any sensible reason why she does it though. I suspect its to drive me crazy like most other things she does.

Traditionally Thai women walk 2 meters behind "her man". Still very common in rural Thailand.
I am amazed, how many Farang "Cultural-Experts" don't know about this.

In modern times, many Thai Males may find this tradition very helpful, especially while walking around in shopping malls. It puts a natural distance between the males wallet and his female companion.
