The E.U had rules regarding the shape of bananas , one E.U rule was that bananas need to 'free from malformation or abnormal curvature of the fingers'. It was not true at all. Johnson claimed bananas had to be straight - read the entire conformity rules, don't just post part of them. If bananas had to be straight, there'd be none in the shops. Check out what 'abnormal curvature' actually means. I'll give you a clue - bananas are naturally curved - i.e. 'normal'. Just another load of Johnson BS. Just like when he stood in front of the camera's and said the EU had caused great expense to UK fishermen by demanding a new style of packaging for kippers. The next day it was revealed that the new packaging was actually a UK rule. The man doesn't even know what day is it, never mind how to run a country. However, there is a big BUT here. The Department of Health decided to redefine 'new' in August 2021 to include hospitals which didn't previously exist plus new wings plus 'major' refurbishments (which is undefined). My definition of 'new' (and yours?) is limited to hospitals which didn't previously exist. In this case, the answer is 3 are currently planned.

It's a possibility but I'd suggest that it's unlikely if the Tories cannot put on a united front for the electorate, and it's difficult to see which prospective leader can pull this off. I doubt that Braverman has any realistic chance of winning, but while she appeals to the ERG, she would alienate the moderate wing. Sunak/ Javid/ Hunt have the opposite problem. Wallace might have been given a chance, but he's had the good sense to rule himself out. Despite the purge of pro-EU MPs in 2019, the Tory PP is still at war with itself. I just hope that this continues until the next general election. Edited July 9, 2022 by RayC Grammar

Cue : Another opportunity to call Boris a liar It's incessant on these pages, mixed with some purely abusive posts devoid of any actual comment. It appears to be perfectly acceptable to assert that Boris is the arch liar, while the others are in fact all the same. Most of what they rage about as Boris's lies were no biggie. Personally, I would not trust Starmer as far as I could throw him, and the same goes for the rest of the Labour cadre. They seem to have conveniently forgotten the even bigger corrupt lying Labour PM, Princess Tony Blair. The anagram of his surname was so apt, but would get your post deleted for some reason. 1

No they aren't all the same. That makes you the liar. PS. Your man was found guilty. Starmer was not. Accept the result and move on. Oh, and the Tories voted 164 - 2 in favour of the Iraq war despite the protests on the streets. Has he got your support because he's better at it than others? Remember, he's a lawyer by trade and now an MP, so a trained professional liar.
