Phuket – A taxi driver in Phuket found a wallet in his taxi before returning it to a foreign owner.

Mr. Tom Sukkasem, the head of the taxi driver station at a taxi stall near Central Phuket, called the Phuket Tourist Police 1155 hotline late last week.

Tom told police that Mr. Kampanart Chaiyakarn, a taxi driver at the taxi stall, found a wallet inside his taxi which might belong to his latest foreign tourist customer.

A lost wallet story that didn't turn out to be a scam?

Things are looking up!

Regrettably, as it was a lengthy 300m drive from his taxi rank to the police station, the standard charge of THB 400 was applied to the wallet en route.

Two options:
1 - Most likely: Wallet was empty and had no valuable or useful items.

2 - Phuket cabbies make enough ripping off tourists. Don't need the small change left in a found wallet.

So, now we all know that a person actually have to find the thing before returning it to the one that has lost it.

Returning lost items has nothing to do with the person being a foreigner or local.  It just has to do with honesty

What idiot carries a wallet in 2022?

I thought Ronaldo wasn't coming?

Why does it have to turn into a PR stunt, just give the bloke his wallet back and move on.

I do, never leave home without my wallet in the right hand back pocket of my jeans, and a clean folded handkerchief in the left hand back pocket of my jeans.

Er, taxi drivers?

Hope he tipped ( not over) the driver. Looks like a bit of cash on the table.
