Additionally, the number of passengers sitting in the pickup’s cargo bed will be limited to a maximum of six people, and sitting at the cargo rear will be strongly prohibited.

Somebody explain please! Cargo bed vs cargo rear.

It probably just means that it will be advisory, not mandatory so the police don't have to actually in force it, unless they are short of cash or the perpetrators are farangs...

....or Mia Noi's birthday.

What is a "Sub-law"?

Either a law is a law or it is not!

When did any authority, except in dictatorships, have laws passed outside of a duly elected Parliament?

Oops; Sorry  I have just realised where I am!

Its a law without any engines I think ????

The Royal Thai Police is considering issuing a traffic sub-law of no more than three passengers allowed to be sitting in the back seats of a pickup truck and no more than six passengers allowed in a cargo bed.

That's hilarious, because it legalises riding in the cargo bay, while seat belts would be mandatory on the front seats.. Only in Thailand..

How about in the back bench seat of my pickup then too! I got pilloried for saying I sometimes have passengers in there!

I've seen school mini buses up here with about twenty kids sitting on bench seats going length ways with nothing at all to hold on to.

Not to mention those on the roof

I'm sure a while back they said they were making it illegal to ride in the cargo bed. My wife mentioned it as well and I said I thought it was already illegal but not enforced.
