How on Earth was he expecting to get on an airplane with those ? What was he thinking

  • Stupid thing o do .......now they will be looking into his background (hopefully) to see what else he has been  up to ... regards worgeordie

  • Presumably because that's all he had, had he have more he would have been carrying more... in any case, one has to be utterly daft to be carrying ammo on a plane...

In the USA, you can check a hand gun and rounds when you fly domestically.  You need an appropriate gun license, and you must declare the items at check-in.  Not sure what’s legal flying domestically in Thailand.

Thanks, I was just wondering whether you can carry ammunition  and guns on flights in the USA , thanks for letting me know .

Anyone know whether you can carry gums and ammo on flights in Taiwan ?

More reporting says he had flown into Phuket on a domestic flight, not that he was trying to fly out. Which implies he'd lugged the ammo and mags all the way from Israel! Which would pose a lot of questions about airport security in Israel.

Not sure if Galil in 5.56 is what IDF still use as standard rifle (they also sold the Galil to Thailand).

I would like to know how and where he got them. Then why he was trying ti bring them to Israel.

He wasn't, he was going to Bangkok with them.

Just misinterpreted the “ Come unload in Phuket” TAT advertising!!

55 is like barely 2 mags with 5.56 average. Normally if new they are on plastic clips as well so this sounds like he is just one of the less bright people around us.

His toast for that.

10 years later. will be heading back home.

very stupid of him.

Israeli man, 55 rounds + magazine. Bet Kanye would have a few words to add to this thread.

The real question is. "Why dose he have 55 loose rounds not packed in the mag in the photo"

Are you sure they were not loaded in the magazines when discovered.?

Probably a blunder. He might've forgotten the ammo was tucked away in a luggage pocket if he'd hurriedly packed before flying. Israelis are generally well-informed about security issues.

I would think that most people from most Countries would realise you cannot take bullets on airplanes

One cannot carry it onto the plane.

They transport it in storage and one gets it back at destination.

Hmmm.  I wonder how he got into Phuket with that cargo. ????

Maybe he obtained them in Phuket.

Can't be that one is boarding with these not be sure to be caught. May be miscommunication between Israeli and Thai secret service and the info was not passed over to the airport. We'll not be able to find out the matter will likely be handled between Embassies
