THE widely-followed Panda Lab Doctor Facebook page this morning (Dec. 2) posted a photo of chaos at Phuket airport with over 300 passengers struggling to catch a flight even though the airplane was about to take off, Matichon newspaper said.

 

Mr. Pakphum Dejhassadin, a medical technologist who runs the popular Panda Lab Doctor page, said the exact cause of the confusion is not known.

So were they running after the plane on the runway?????

300 people missing would have meant a very empty flight leaving. The air hostesses would have been stoked to have an empty plane and an easy outbound flight.

Thai inefficiency or technology would be my initial guess

Would put me off flying VietJet..

 

The reason for the chaos in sum: One of planes didn't fly from BKK to HKT, so some passengers were juggled around, but after plane took off from Phuket back to BKK, they found extra passengers on board, so they returned and landed back in Phuket. As it was late and airport closed, they couldn't take off again so they let all passengers sit at the airport until the morning when another plane picked them up.

Did he ask? Did anyone reporting this contact the airport to ask?

Passengers stuck in the terminal trying to get through a slow process, while the aircraft sitting outside is on a tight turn-around schedule.

Wow, more info ...

... imagine that, and a good reason for the situation, but yet, another silly headliner.   

 

So no real 'Chaos' or drama, just unhappy psgers, maybe, mulling about due to poor customer service, maybe, from a LCC.

 

Sometimes you get what you pay for.  Hopefully they got comp'd for something, besides a meal voucher to restaurants that were probably closed, if that late of an hour.

A bit confusing to have a parallel thread that explains what happened.
