UK Britain is poised to lose a record 16,500 millionaires in 2025
If eaned $11,600 outside of US ... ... if that amount in account at any one time, need to file FBAR ... IF that is only income you have, then no, don't think enough to be taxable. ... IF added to other earnings, then would be taxable, as total of all income is taxable, minus any deductions. For myself, I need to earn near $30k to have taxable income, since married, at present. I'm just shy of that, with my Soc Sec & company pension. Trump just signed or will sign, new bill / law, making Social Security (govt retirement payments) non taxable income. Along with a few other types of income; tips & overtime pay. When signed, I won't even be close to having taxable income, as my company pension is a pittance ($357 a month / $4282 a yr) -

2025 SSA Form 7162 - "Hello, are you dead yet?" forms.
From experience. Registered mail seldom makes it to Wilkes-Barr by the cutoff date. They actually sit on registered mail and it doesn't get delivered. I did that twice with the same results. The mail stops in Wilkes-Barr and then sits for weeks. Now I just send it by regular first-class international - 68 THB. Never have a problem. -

The rising tide and the boats.
Boy, did we have a goood run for the last 75 years in the West (economically). Outside of some "recessions", it was mainly up,up,up. (When the tide rises, all the boats rise with it). Thanks to productivity gains/technological advances, but mainly by financing all this by dept (Government/Corporate/Private). - An expensive "social security" concept was established and other government "givaways", not covered by Taxes. Why raise taxes if you can borrow the money? But now, the focus increasingly shifts toward the cost of servicing the debt. (Just interest). Some countries are nearing a "critical level". We are running out of financial Hokus Pokus to keep the credit engine running. Possibly the tide will reverse and all the boats will have to go down with the tide. A clensing of a overextended financial Ponzi Scheme, hopefully not lasting for decades. -

Jomtien immigration. Spreading it's Love for the expats in it's community. Little people sitting in big chairs. The madness continues.
