Prices of taxis at udon thani Airport at night?

Featured Replies

I'll be arriving to the airport at 21:00 and will need to get a room either nearby or next to the border (going for border run in the morning). Will they charge a lot because of the late hour or something reasonable?

Thanks

200baht.

Stay near central plaza where minivans depart from

Stay night somewhere like Top Mansion near the Day Night bar complex 500b.

3 minutes walk to central plaza

thank you!

I got a grab car to the airport for 139 baht after the 15% promo code was applied. I don't know if this would be possible going in the other direction.

Also, it's possible the 80 baht van service is available.

Going from eg central plaza to airport is meter.

That would hardly get to 100baht.

The other way round is a fixed price.

Good luck finding a taxi prepared to turn on the meter.

Not visa or extension related.

Moved to the Issan forum for local info.

I was at the airport last week (around 8pm), the usual (200 baht to anywhere in the city) airport taxis (limousine as they call it) with the shop/desk by the arrivals hall was closed!  I thoroughly recommend you use grab or bolt app. and you will know the price before you agree to accept. Will certainly be less than 200 baht. As a last resort, there are usually 'private car taxis' or sometimes tuk tuks touting for business in the arrivals hall.

Download and use Grab, I paid 450b for a 30km ride a few weeks ago from the airport, at 19:30.

The vans to Nong Khai are available for 85 baht. You will see a very small shelter-like structure in the front parking lot at Central. I took this van on December 24th. Although they have a scheduled departure time, if the van is not near capacity the driver will wait for more passengers.

Im not sure but dont get surprise if they charge you extra 50 baht or they open the meter from 50. This is because they are airport taxi and its normal so dont think its kinda scam.

Book a hotel online with a shuttle service.

Some CC crying about the price of taxis in UT, isn't going to spring for a hotel that offers shuttle service in Udon Thani.
