Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate will appear in court in Romania on Wednesday as lawyers argue he should be released.

 

The British-American national and his brother Tristan have been held in custody since 29 December on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

 

Two female Romanian suspects have also been detained.

The controversial influencer Andrew Tate will remain in custody for at least another month after an appeal against his detention was rejected.

 

Mr Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan were arrested last month on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

I am not sure about the justice system in Romania, but certainly he deserves due process and a court trial, if they ever get round to charging him with anything?

Everyone deserves due process. Just because the suspect is a heretic from the Church of Woke doesn't mean that the self-righteous mob should gleefully call for his punishment and humiliation. Shades of a more totalitarian past I hope won't return.

 

The OP has form. He previously changed his avatar to a photo of Robert Mueller as Batman during the frenzied attempt to get President Trump convicted for being a puppet of Russia. Despite thousands of hours and millions of dollars spent on this grandiose inquest, nothing was proven and Batman Mueller slinked off in ignominy.

Tate is obviously a criminal. He has admitted to several serious crimes on video that you can access. This has nothing to do with woke or no woke. Nobody is suggesting that anyone  be locked up just for being a notorious A hole which of course Tate is.

Holding people on remand while prosecutors develop their case is common practice in all our countries. They go to court for mention as he has done then it's off to the clink to wait. Nothing to see there.

Appears Tate lost his appeal, will remain in detention.  I'd never heard of the guy until recently, but he appears to be a grade A scumbag.....
