Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul insisted today (Tuesday) that his Bhumjaithai Party has not made a pre-election deal with any political party.

Anutin raised journalists’ eyebrows when he embraced Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in front of them following the weekly Cabinet meeting today.

“There is nothing to it. No deal has been made with any party,” Anutin said.

To quote Mandy Rice Davies from back in 1963,

While being cross-examined at Ward's trial, Rice-Davies made a riposte which has since become famous. When James Burge, the defence counsel, pointed out that Lord Astor denied an affair or even having met her, she dismissed this, giggling "Well he would, wouldn't he?"[9] (often misquoted "Well he would say that, wouldn't he?").

So that's a given then?

Ain't this fun!?

....and even today, the wisest of all speculation can't guess what's gonna happen.......what with all the usual shenanigans and whatnot.

So......don't be too disappointed that when May comes rollin' around, we find ourselves in a forced takeover in one manner or another.

Notice the mainstream press excludes any reference or chatter about the Move Forward folks.

There may not be a "deal" but there is a "plan".

While it is difficult to keep track of the bodies, as they jump parties, it still feels as though PPRP/UTN will need BJT and the Dems beat PTP+Move Forward.

BJT may outperform expectations, as demographics shift. And any "plan" will involve "shenanigans", again.

Short of the EC/CC bouncing MF or PTP it will be a very close race to form a majority government and appoint an unelected PM. But I can't see the PtB allowing anything other than a military-backed government, again.

If his lips are moving, then he is lying.

How can anyone believe anything this opportunist says. He's dumb as a box of hammers. Anyone with his level of incompetence, IQ and sense should be investigated by NACC.

Welcome to the devious and controlling Thai political machine.

Tradition.

Tradition.

It's a bit trickier these days as control needs to be attained maintained with a veneer of "democracy", rather than at the business end of a firearm.

So while the results are the same, more makeup and lipstick is required in "modern" Siam.

Why even bother with a election.....Might as well declare  election resuts now..... The winner has already been decided.......And we know who that is.....

Agreed.

And save the 5.9 BILLION baht which the "cabinet" approved for a budget for the "election".

Democracy theatre. Same-same as Khon.

Actually, don't even know why we bother with any of this s***.

Why not just revert back to an absolute and call it good.

A 100% guarantee if you believe what a Thai politician says is the truth.  ????

No deals made Yet.

They are drumming up new votes for a couple different Parties  For Payment around here. Great for some extra money for big families of 4/6 voters  gives them an extra THB  500 per vote .

Khun Gun-Cha for PM!  ????

Anutin would still be in the construction business, if it were not for the deals he has made. His entire life has been about deals, and very little of what he has achieved has been due to merit or real accomplishment.

So, now we know. If he says it, it is likely not true. It is simply hot air, deflection and lies. That is who and what the man is. An empty suit.
