In a remarkable demonstration of kindness and civic spirit, an unidentified young man has been caught on camera assisting an ambulance in navigating through heavy traffic in Chiang Mai.

The video clip, recorded on May 10, 2023, by the dashboard camera of a Sawang Samed Chiang Mai Foundation ambulance, has since garnered widespread admiration on social media.

The footage reveals a dense traffic situation where the young man, whose identity remains unknown, can be seen sprinting ahead of the ambulance, reported Channel 7.

He gestures vigorously at the obstructing vehicles, persuading them to clear the way for the ambulance, thereby ensuring a smoother and quicker passage for the patient onboard.

The individual who posted the video clip online captioned it, "Kindness on the road. A kind brother runs to clear the way for the ambulance. Under the hot sun, he displays small acts of kindness that deserve great respect. Salute to the heart of Sawangsamset Foundation, Chiang Mai."

Upon viewing the clip, netizens have been quick to voice their appreciation for this young man's selfless act. Comments have poured in praising the man's volunteer spirit and wishing him well. "Thank you very much. May you encounter only good things," and "His heart is great. Thai society would be more livable if there were more people like this."

This incident serves as a reminder that, even in challenging traffic situations, acts of kindness can make a significant difference and contribute to a more cooperative and compassionate society.

I don't keep track but there are hardly weekly articles about this behavior.

Maybe 2 in a year reported?

In other reports:

An unidentified man believed to be mentally unbalanced was caught by CCTV running down a road in heavy traffic waving his arms and shouting. Eye witnesses reported he was followed by an ambulance from which he may have escaped. Police were prevented from rushing to the scene due to the traffic density.
