Free Moderna bivalent Covid booster

I just got mine this morning. Very busy at the 9:00 kick-off I was told, with around 100 people queuing, but not many people arrived after that. I arrived around 9:30 and was finished before 11:00. I don't think they'd allocated more than half the 300 doses today, so there should be plenty left tomorrow if you want one. The vaccination centre is on the 10th floor of the multi-storey car park, very easy to find.

You will probably be screaming for it as they wheel you into a hospital ICU.

Nice to see you wishing well on a fellow poster.

Try a real vaccine next time one of these highly manufactured pandemics rolls around.

I'm stating fact. An unvaccinated person is six times more likely to be seriously ill from COVID than one who has been vaccinated, irrespective of misinformation rife on social media.

Attacking me personally with a sarcastic post does not change said statistics.

Per the US CDC:

  • All vaccinated groups had overall lower risk of dying from COVID-19 and testing positive for COVID-19 compared with people who were unvaccinated.
  • People who were vaccinated with an updated (bivalent) booster dose had lower rates of dying from COVID-19 and slightly lower rates of testing positive for COVID-19 compared with people who were vaccinated but had not received an updated booster dose.

"In March 2023, people 18 years and older and vaccinated with an updated (bivalent) booster had: 5.3X lower risk of dying from COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated people."

Then why are you posting here except to spread anti vax fud?

I believe I'm alive only because I had all my jabs before getting covid. No comorbidities.

Yesterday I just received my Moderna Bivalent vaccine booster shot for FREE at the Chiang Mai Neurology Hospital.  They do it from 8:00 am to 12:noon and there is NEVER a wait.

A troll post has been reported and removed.  A troll post baiting another member has been removed. This is not the OP to post your anti-vax conspiracy drivel in.

The OP is:

Free Moderna bivalent Covid booster

looks like very few people feel the need for this. great news that covid is becoming less and less a threat as every day passes.

I wish the local Bangkok Hospital where I live had this.

Once again this OP is about Free Moderna bivalent Covid booster and is not a OP for discussion of Antivaccine views.

is the bivalent for everyone now or only high risk groups such as over 60?

It's available for anyone. Mrs Dog got a shot last week and she is under 60 and not in a high risk group. However, the government is strongly recommending for over 60s and high risk groups.

Thanks to the OP. I hauled myself out of bed early this morning and went to BPH to get the shot. I was over half an hour early and was number 17. Out by 9:30.

I've had 4 shots but none for a year and this is my first bivalent shot. Hopefully the last unless recommended by medical authorities.

Thank you for the update!

I got my booster at Central World today. I arrived at 12 noon, the registration table  told me the fee was 380 baht. After I filled out the registration form, I received queue number 73.   After another staff examined my Passport and my 2 prior vaccination certificates they said being that my wife was Thai, the shot would be free. In and out in less than 45 minutes.
