Burger King is causing a stir in Thailand with its new offering: a burger with no meat and a jaw-dropping amount of cheese.

This week, the Thai operator of the fast food chain introduced what it calls the “real cheeseburger,” a bun filled with as many as 20 slices of American cheese.

The item launched on Thai menus Sunday, at a reduced price of 109 Thai baht ($3.1), compared with the usual price of 380 baht ($10.9). It quickly went viral on social media in Thailand, with many users on TikTok posting videos of them trying the new sandwich.

“This is no joke. This is for real,” Burger King said in a Sunday social media post.

Processed cheese is high in bad stuff and more likely to cause a heart attack. Which is why TomazBodner asked his slightly tongue in cheek question. But obviously you did not see it that way.

I take it you have never eaten any Wisconsin Cheese then, or even cheese from the Northern California and Oregon regions..  Non Americans have no idea of what good cheeses are actually made in the US.

  • So soon we have a burger with imitation meat and imitation cheese, add some imitation tomato sauce to it.

So its basically a Cheese sandwich.  Used to make them with a mixture of sandwich cheeses.  All Kraft singles, as well as a good helping of the Kraft Cheddar spray cheese from the can.  Yummy as all get out and yes, not good for you, but it tasted very good.

A fav of mine is a some chunks of Kraft Cheddar with cracked pepper and vegemite onto some bread and into the breville maker.

Simply lush.

Sorry your not a fan, but the imitation cheese slices are excellent for burgers as they melt easily and taste good. I use them when I make a grilled cheese sandwich on my homemade sourdough bread.

They must keep it for themselves as the only American Cheese we ever see in supermarkets here or in Europe is floppy, yellow 4" square leaves separated by plastic film. To be fair, lots of European companies now make it too..
