Pattaya — A man tried to sneak a gun into a nightclub in Pattaya and accidentally shot his own younger sister in her buttocks, causing her serious injury.

The suspect was only identified as Mr. Jakkrapat and was immediately arrested by police after the incident. He was reported to be the older brother of 21-year-old Ms. Praeploy Phothong, a Thai national.

 

The incident took place at 04:15 AM on Wednesday, July 12th, at a parking lot at the Dirty Pattaya nightclub, located in Soi Koh Phai within the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Ms. Praeploy was reportedly shot by Mr. Jakkrapat in the right buttock, resulting in profuse bleeding, as he tried to sneak a gun into a pub. Ms. Praeploy was rushed to a nearby hospital.

I travel that stretch of road daily, around 9am.

There's a few night clubs and hundreds of people partying.

Well I also have concern that locals are attending nightclubs carrying weapons..... young immature punk kids, bravado and alcohol do not mix well with that. Fortunately not the type of place I will likely be in! But added to the youth wars on Bali Hai a bad direction  we are heading in.
