The downturn in the Chinese economy is having a knock-on effect on Thailand’s tourism outlook, according to a Bangkok Post report. In particular, tourism operators say forward bookings for October’s Golden Week holiday are down.

Chinese travellers have been both the national and Phuket leader in tourist arrivals over the past few months, overtaking Russian arrivals since those number have started to dwindle.

The vice-president of the Tourism Council of Thailand says travel agents have confirmed bookings are slower than usual for the China National Day, one of the biggest holidays in the Chinese calendar.

Ohhh dear the mass bookings of Chinas tour groups seem to be diminishing.

And Chinas wealthy tourist is going elsewhere?

Hold on a minute. This news is not fair. Truth cannot possibly be truth. And the TAT cannot possibly be wrong about their prediction of 30 million. Not fair!

I am wondering jut how big the impact will be on Thailand as a whole

For sure the Country will have exposure to the Chinese property Market as well as the Money Markets, and any effect on Tourism could possibly be a minor issue going forward

I just hope the commies will all go broke and back to Maoism. Those were the good days. Evergrande has thrown the towel already in the US, let's see who's next.

China is done for.

Unsolvable problem with inverted population pyramid.

Australian dollar is done for also.
