Hi I know Pattaya fairly well, but I'm coming over In December and staying at City Garden Olympus, Soi Kho Pai 4 Pattaya

What places are nearby would you suggest, ie Bars and eateries etc.

Thanks for any advice.

Yes a bit away from things there.

Use Google Maps to get an idea of the area, you would have been better off more central or Buakhao area.

Download the Bolt app, you'll need it to get to busier places like Soi Buakow, Central Festival, Beach Raod.

I had a pretty good steak for 69 baht last week only 50 meters down the road, opposite the 711.

I second getting the Bolt app, cheaper than the "win" bikes, and airconditioned too!

Even cheaper is the new Maxim app, maybe they are on introductory rates, but cheaper than Bolt!

I would seriously consider staying somewhere else, if possible. You are a long way from any of the usual tourist areas or the beaches.

Some online reviews complain about late opening karaoke bars nearby. Google maps show local bars and restaurants to be aimed at the domestic market.

Not a great location, presumably it was cheaper than others, get a motorbike to better areas

Area well known by police, just saying.

Find a better area, closer to everything. And safer. Much safer.

Advice that may help you too by CanadaSam;

If you stay at the Queen Victoria on Soi 6, you will probably never leave that Soi for the entirety of your trip!!!

-Move there, looks perfect ????

Might be a bit noisy for anyone wanting to get to sleep.... but good food and sit near the window for the best show in town.
