Operation "Lanna Force Check" Targets Foreign Nationals

On September 6th, Major General Suphanat Charoenruangsakul, the head of the 5th Tactical Division, presided over the launch of the second operation titled “Lanna Force Check”.

This operation, primarily targeted at monitoring foreign nationals, is a joint initiative with the Chiang Mai Employment Office, the provincial administrative organization, and other local agencies, reported Siam Rath.

The primary objective is to mitigate potential criminal activities by foreign individuals and ensure adherence to local laws and regulations. Part of the procedure will involve periodic checks and monitoring of foreign nationals applying for extended stay in the kingdom.

 

This initiative also covers the investigation of foreign individuals studying in state and private educational institutions, foundations, or associations under the jurisdiction of the 5th Tactical Division.

The proceedings took place efficiently at the parking lot in front of the Tactical Division office in Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province.

Just concentrate on Chinese, Russians, Nigerians and Indians... that'll stop 90% of all crime from foreign nationals.

And while they are at it, rather than talking nonsense about free 90-day visas, why not ask ALL arrivals to apply for 15-day VOA instead... That will show those bl***y tourists!
