Bad Biden polls stoke third-party angst for Democrats

Why is the DNC not wanting some debates between the candidates?  If good ol Joe is on top of his game, surely he'd come off best in any debate.  Instead of constant propoganda from the state, I mean news organizations, let the voters hear for themselves what the candidates answer to various serious concerns the people have are.

In accordance with the Constitution voters get to make their choice for President at the election.

There is no constitutional requirement for voters to take part in the choice of candidates for Presidential elections.

It is cowardly to not hold a Democrat primary, why hide from the voters especially when there is so much concern about the old fellas capacity to see through another four year term. If a vote for Biden is really a vote for Kamala then people have the right to know that before the cast their vote.

Is it really a choice if the voters have no say in who the presidential candidates will be?

What’s this cowardly nonsense?

Did you miss the bit about what the Constitution says and doesn’t say?

I don't pretend to understand politicians (if that's even possible) but geez, can the democrats not find somebody else out of millions of Americans to put forward?

Intelligent, sensible, charasmatic?

We need joe to stay in power if not the world will realize how bad petit Pierre really is.

No sitting American president has participated in primary debates since Gerald Ford did.

Ford was of course unelected as both vice president and president.

He was challenged in the primary by some upstart named Ronald Reagan.

Ford didn't wuss out - he fronted up and although he lost the general election to Jimmy Carter it worked out well for the Republicans who bundled Carter out after one term and then held the Whitehouse for 12 years with Reagan and Bush.

Were you complaining about this in 2020?

I don’t recall doing so.

Biden running again is a risky gamble.

The potential consequences of a return of Trump to the presidency are dire for America, the world and democracy.

If Biden is unable to spar in a primary what on earth makes anyone think he can get back into the ring with Trump?

Pretty much three quarters of American voters believe Biden is to old, not because of ageism, but because of what they see and hear as he shuffles about mumbling to himself.

The one absolute certainty between now and election day in 2024 is that Biden is only going to get older, slower and more demented, assuming of course, that he even survives that long.

You once again assert dementia, with absolutely no medical facts to back it up.

Oh and Biden’s opponent is also getting older and their are documented reasons to question is cognitive abilities.

73% of Americans, when polled, say Biden is not fit to run again - why do you think this is the case?

73% of Americans are not republicans, so what’s up?

What was it you wrote in the Abbas thread… if it quacks like a duck???

Since when does being too old = senility. When people retire from their careers, is it generally because they are senile?

They are usually long retired before they go senile , retirement age is 60 odd years old

Once again, MrMojoRisin introduced the claim that because 73 percent of Americans think Biden is too old, therefore that means they believe he is senile.

And by the way, the current retirement age in the US to qualify for full social security is 67.
