Popular Post webfact
Move Forward Party spokesperson Rangsiman Rome slammed corruption within the Thai government system. after he discovered the selling of Thai electricity to a Myanmar drug lord. Rangsiman exposed a super deal has been struck involving two former police chiefs and a police aviation unit. The 31 year old politician also questioned whether Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin would dare to take legal action against former Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. Rangsiman took to Twitter to voice his concerns. He stated that after listening to the policy statement by the incoming prime minister, he found the solutions he proposed to be very vague. He is worried that these policies seemed designed to appease coalition partners rather than to tackle serious issues head-on. Rangsiman highlighted several examples of corruption within the government system. He mentioned the police ticketing system, which forces police to engage in corrupt practices such as setting up extortion checkpoints and threatening business operators to pay a protection fee. This system also promotes a culture where police are under the thumb of those in power, and where positions can be bought. by Samantha Rose TOP: Rangsiman Rome (left side) image via Rangsiman Rome - รังสิมันต์ โรม and Srettha Thavisin (Right) image via Srettha Thavisin. Popular Post Mavideol
if they keep digging, nobody knows what will they find but shouldn't be good for the previous power grabber... this is just the tip of the iceberg.... check submarines/airplanes/fast train, etc., deals and while at it don't forget Anutin vaccine deal, since the new, ( NOT elected by the people) PM and the NEW minister of interior (it happens to be Anutin 555) claim going after corruption, one has to wonder how a corrupted one can/will investigate himself 12 4
Popular Post bamnutsak
Sort of oldish news...the arrest warrant was mysteriously withdrawn. Suspect many top tier Thais are both supporting the Myanmar dictators, and profiting handsomely. Thai senator’s link to Myanmar arms dealer jolts Thai justice system Thailand’s justice system was forced to swing into damage control mode after a series of disclosures pointed to senior judges and police officers attempting to spare a senator prosecution for alleged drug trafficking and money laundering after the arrest of Myanmar arms dealer Tun Min Latt. Supreme Court President Chotiwat Luengprasert has ordered an investigation into whether senior judges at the Criminal Court had abused their power to cancel the arrest warrant issued for Senator Upakit Pachariyangkun last year. A fact-finding committee was set up recently to gather information from all relevant sources for the Supreme Court judge within 30 days, according to the Court of Justice’s spokesperson, Sorawit Limparangsri. The panel has no authority to interrogate any responsible persons in accordance with the penal code, he said. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thai-senators-link-to-myanmar-arms-dealer-jolts-thai-justice-system/ 3 2

spidermike007
Glad to see someone calling out the former guys. Nobody knows exactly how corrupt they were. It would likely boggle the mind. The army is not known for nobility, honesty, or decency. Call them out. Expose them. Arrest them. Lock them up. OK, now I will stop dreaming. 1

They are already fully aware of the Corruption However, it does sound gongs for any Foreign Investors who may be thinking of Investing in Thailand There question will be " just how Corrupt is the Country " and is it somewhere I really want to Invest in for Business or personal wealth Edited September 14, 2023 by Cake Monster
Popular Post bamnutsak
I think this partially explains former MoFA Don Pramudwinai's strange efforts with Myanmar (secret meetings) at the end of the Prayuth regime. Clearly the Myanmar regime has receipts which might be embarrassing to some Thai-er ups. 2 1
Popular Post Bangkok Barry
Just accept Thailand for what is is - a corrupt nation rotten to the core from top to bottom, where the majority agree with the 'system' if they can benefit from it. And that it will never change, not in the foreseeable future anyway. It is what it is, and everyone knows and accepts that. Maybe, maybe, one day they'll wake up and realise that the most prosperous nations in the region are those which are least corrupt, such as Singapore and Japan. 2

Not top to bottom just the top those at the bottom have to do as they are told. It's the politicians, high government officials and higher police officials. Corruption here starts at the top the people who work for them have to toe the line or lose their jobs. It seems that the educated classes are the most corrupt here.
