3/4 are women and children, including  It is beyond belief how some here are defiantly refusing to say Israel are doing no wrong.

During WWII, the Allies engaged in a bombing campaign that killed many German civilians.

Was that right or wrong?

The IDF campaign to destroy Hamas is morally equivalent to the Allied effort in WWII.

The lady is a Mexican actress who emigrated to Israel. She is definitely not in Gaza.

Hamas built those tunnels, huh? it's so sad to see the naivety

If you believe an ex pm who provides no evidence on that then you must believe everytHing else he said.

Barak replied "It's already been known for many years that they have a bunker that originally was built by Israeli constructors underneath Shifa," which was used as a "command post" for Hamas and as a "junction of several tunnels"

"I don't know to say to what extent it is a 'major.' It's probably not the only...command post. Several others are under hospitals or in other sensitive places."

Nice, lets see what he has to say for himself after all the evidence has now been uncovered. A few questions to WHO and the UN also need asking about this widely known network of tunnels beneath Gaza hospitals.

"The director of the Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip was apprehended and transferred for ISA questioning following evidence showing that the Shifa Hospital, under his direct management, served as a Hamas command and control center.

The Hamas terror tunnel network situated under the hospital also exploited electricity and resources taken from the hospital. In addition, Hamas stored numerous weapons inside the hospital and on the hospital grounds >>

Furthermore, after the Hamas massacre on October 7th, Hamas terrorists sought refuge within the hospital, some of them taking hostages from Israel with them. A pathological report also confirmed the murder of CPL Noa Marciano on the hospital premises >>

In the hospital, under his management, there was extensive Hamas terrorist activity. Findings of his involvement in terrorist activity will determine whether he will be subject to further ISA questioning."

Gonna be a long day for some families. Hope it will end well.

Let's see if the 'truce' holds until the afternoon.

The day probably will, the month probably not.

Interesting how the two countries that can most identify with the way the Palestinians have been treated by the Israeli’s, Ireland and South Africa, both strongly side with Palestine.

Why could that be?

On past instances, the hours before the 'truce' started were some of the worst, in terms of fighting and casualties.

Here's an opinion column I found interesting. Basically it's about how the 'rules' governing these clashes in the past do not apply this time - and the implications with regard to Hamas actions and options. The author, by the way, is often critical of the Israeli government's policies.

Hostage deal, even if it fails, shows Hamas’s desperation

And?

Increased potential for things getting out of hand just prior to 'truce' start, extra baggage when fighting resumes, and more fuel for ceasefire calls.

The Allies deliberate bombing of populated areas during WW11 was termed "Terror Bombing". Churchill acknowledged "Terror Bombing" was a terrible moral dilemma.

Obviously the Israeli's have made the decision extensive mass destruction of civilians and property are morally justified, whether the decision will stand up to scrutiny by democratic societies is an open question.

People who support the Palestinians because of Israel's actions in Gaza , is like people supporting the Nazis because of the U.Ks actions in Germany WW2

How so? The Palestinians have legitimate grievances vs. Israel.
