He may be suffering from feelings of national guilt but I doubt they have feelings except for themselves.

You are probably not aware, of ignoring, the fact that Israel does have a peace movement, that there are Israeli pro-Palestinian right groups, newspaper columnists regularly broadcasting the Palestinian point of view etc.

You've no idea what this guy's politics are.

Painting all Israelis with the same brush is a choice, not an even remotely accurate reality.

yes I am sure vandalizing Thai peoples cars and property and stealing from a Thai business will pay back those horrid Hamas people.

I never claimed so and this was not my intention. People, when stressed and on drugs, do a whole lot of stupid things. This is getting a whole lot of attention because of the current situation, but frankly, such incidents occur at least on a weekly basis in Thailand.

Just another tourist that got sh!t faced and stoned and did not know enough about going to bed.

Nothing to see here only reason he is news is that he is Israeli.

Yep, just a nut, using excuses. in the promised land he would be considered a terrorist and dealt with in different ways.

No, he wouldn't be considered a 'terrorist'. He's be treated pretty much as the Thai police treated him.

He is a reservist in Israel citizen army … maybe dodging the call up …

kick him back to Israel.

Is he? Must have missed where this was reported. It's a misconception that all Israelis are reservists, or that all even serve in the IDF.

I have seen signs on hotels occasionally saying no Israelis but never seen a no Palestinians sign.

Likely just coincidence

There are such signs, occasionally. Seen them on Samui, Tao and Phangan, mostly. Bear in mind, Thailand is also very popular with young Arab citizens of Israel as well. Obviously, not a whole lot of Palestinian tourists about, so no real point in your post.

Were you not aware that Hamas illegally entered Israel and slaughtered innocent partygoers who were simply enjoying their time with friends?

What is Israel supposed to do, simply remain passive and not retaliate after such a barbaric attack?

Can't argue against one-eyed opinions. There has been atrocities committed by both sides.

Was he just as upset when the Israelis were bombing the sh*t out of Palestine?

People are not expected to express the same feelings for each and every situation. It is perfectly normal to care more or to express stronger feelings when things are closer to home.

It was a rhetorical question.

Give him a break, stressful time for sure

Thieving and vandalism are not appropriate stress relief..

More cannabis is appropriate.

Stress is no reason for him to be "given a break".   There are many others, some on this platform, who have exactly the same (and worse) stress but we don't allow ourselves to turn into intoxicated, vandalising, inconsiderate thieves.

Pattaya’s bustling Walking Street witnessed an unusual scene last night when an Israeli tourist was apprehended for causing disruption and stealing from a local convenience store. The man, whose identity remains confidential, admitted to having consumed cannabis beforehand, attributing his disorderly conduct to the stress induced by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, coupled with the effects of the drug.

The incident occurred on last night. The Pattaya Police were summoned to Walking Street in South Pattaya following reports of a foreign tourist causing a disturbance.

Upon arriving at the scene, they were met with the sight of the Israeli tourist, exhibiting disruptive behaviour and a lack of cooperation.

Witnesses to the scene reported that the man had caused damage to property along Walking Street. He was seen inexplicably striking several cars parked along the roadside.

Following this, he entered a convenience store, where he helped himself to food and drinks without making any attempt to pay for the items. This prompted the store manager to seek assistance from the Pattaya Police.

The police’s investigation led them to an unnamed hotel in Pattaya, where the Israeli national was a guest. Upon inquiring about the man, hotel staff revealed that he had been involved in previous disturbances there.

He'd be well-advised to leave that baggage at home. Let's hope he didn't vote for the war monger who is responsible for the escalation of the conflict.

He will be stuck here because no airline will accept a person with no name. He will have to be deported via an RTAF flight when the first one leaves for Israel to rescue Thai workers. ????
