Thanks for taking the time to let me know all these things, although I would never need to do a 30 day report, I am a bit alarmed they would charge 6000Bt for what other agents charge 200-400Bt.

As other’s have said, I don’t think any agent would do a 30-day extension for 2-400b, Agents charge 500b to do a TM30 & it’s a lot less work for them than an extension, even a Residency Certificate is 500b, which when you take off the 300b immigration charges means the agent is getting 200b for doing it for you.

I mention the prices as I thought you were looking for a 12 month extension rather than a 30 day one & at 12k (assuming no finances) Maneerat is cheaper than any other agent I’ve seen as is the 25K to do the non-O conversion + 12 month extension.

So the poster who said that Manareet charged 6000Bt for this was either not being truthful or missing something out.

You are talking a load of rubbish. If you read the post again you will see I said that I believe you are being sincere, I never insinuated in any way that you are liar. An apology would be nice.

I was referring to your first post above where you pretty much called me a liar ("was not being truthful")

In the meantime, still waiting for names of those 200-400 baht agents you are convinced is true

- they are "hole-in-the-wall" shop selling and doing many things (use Google for pics)
- many are happy although I wouldn't give/leave my passport to any of these type businesses

i am just trying to figure out why Manareet would charge 6000Bt for what other agencies charge 200-400Bt. I have no doubt you are a NES.

What does NES means?

Soi 13/2 (Soi Post Office, they are directly across the road from the Post Office)

@Pattaya57has posted that they asked 6,000b for a 30 day extension (includes the 1,900 immigration charge), I have heard other guys say that is what they charge for it so I would go with that.

Maybe like me they have a good marriage and good families. If it was not for that I would have gone years ago only because of the many Thai immigration issues. ie the 90 day reports that I did not have to do when I first came here in 2005.

Exactly, the minor inconvenience of an extra hour at Immigration pales into insignificance when you compare it to a good marriage and good family. There is always a better reason to stay when you consider the bigger picture, plus the added benefit for some that they can still have a good moan at the Thai system and authorities.

I'll say it again, that the biggest serial Immigration whingers I personally know who banged on about the inconvenience of having to go into immigration for their 90 day reports are the only ones who haven't bothered to switch to doing it online. Says it all to me.

good for you but not my experience....and i would have been happy to come back later if only someone had told me and others that was an option...but no we were all told to go sit and wait and after 45 mins then the guy comes out and says come back later so another 45 mins (for me longer for some others) of waiting that could have been avoided IF someone had so advised.

Your time and inconvenience is of no consequence to them..... it's an irritation that mostly keeps me out of there and paying agents.

Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and many other countries in the ASEAN region are far better and hassle free on immigration, cheaper cost of quality living, good and affordable health care and better value for money.

Maybe on the first point but few of the rest stack up, and certainly not Cambodia! 😂😂😂

Not to state the obvious, and not for wont of the ‘if-you-don’t-like-it…’ crowd, but what are you waiting for?

Cost 200-400 bath, depends of what agent etc.

There is no agent that will do a TR extension for 400 Bhat. 200 baht is for filling up the required paperwork and pictures.
