Police released a video of a drunk British man refusing to be arrested and attempting to assault Thai police after he crashed his pickup into another vehicle in Sattahip district, Chon Buri province.

The Englishman, identified as Martin, reportedly crashed his white Nissan pickup into a white Toyota Fortuner of a 43 year old Thai woman whose identity was not released at the Baan Bang Saray Intersection in the Sattahip district of Chon Buri province.

After the accident, Martin got out of his car, not to negotiate with the Thai driver, but to shout at her. According to witnesses, Martin took off his shirt and got out of control. At times he lay on the road shouting at the top of his lungs until police and rescuers arrived.

The videos of police and rescuers convincing the drunk British man to go to the police station were shared with ThaiRath. In the video, Martin was seen shirtless and trying to remove his shorts. He also attempted to assault a police officer by kicking and elbowing him.

The police were seen laughing at his action and used a clipboard to push Martin away. All the officers tried to speak to Martin in a friendly manner, but he seemed to ignore them.

Ol' Marty, something the Brits can be proud of! :whistling::blink:

How did they end up subduing him?

I imagine they would of had to call for "younger  fitter" police to attend ?

I often wonder especially in Australia and  more so UK ( no guns) when these police officers over 50yo attend what they can actually do , a bit past the age to do that job !!!

Hopefully the wife won't bail him out, and his bags will be curbside when he does get out.   Almost feel sorry for her.  Imagine living with someone like that ... Holy Buddha.   Obviously has no respect for himself, let along anyone else.

I agree and I see many American.polic e and Australian police do this but Thai police tend to hold back with foreigners for some reason

Of course going on what I see on YouTube the UK police seem to be the worst ,some middle aged or older fool working past his prime (without a gun ) turns up at a gang crime with his pot belly

In reality a farang behaving like this should of been handcuffed immediately

And this country is worried about out of control people on marijuana. TIT.

Is that your kind of humor? It's not the US.

Neither the full article nor the video show any violence. The fatty show mimicking a Thai boxer was good for a laugh.

Not sure what Thai people felt when watching on TV.

The guy sounds like the "ideal husband " of course I don't know the couples financial situation but this accident is going to cost.

We often read of us farangs being taken to the cleaners by unscrupulous women.

I think there are a lot who treat there thai wives worse than the Thai men and financially the woman are stuck

So he is a pommy in other words?

Aussies usually add the second word starting with ...B...but I won't ,there's no need for racism or discrimination!

He may not be British he may identify as Scottish

Unfortunately he will not get deported for this, if his papers are in order. He will probably only get a fine, but it can be high for him to avoid jail time. If only pay between 5-20k he will probably get 1-3 months as well. But with 20 in fine, 30 on the side and compensation as well as car repair for the other driver. Then all can be forgotten with wai´s and smiles all around.

He really should be sent for anger management counselling

An hour a week with some on this forum like Liverpool Lou or Pattaya57 would be enough......or even imagine forced to spend an hour a few times a week with GammaGlobulin😱😱

And we really care about what you think, don't we, Mister 24 posts!

Not stereotyping at all, are we?

Or are you judging Brits on the type of Brits you meet in the places you spend your leisure time and frequent?

fortunately they hardly use their guns here in Australia

But ......there is a habit of kneeing alleged offenders particularly in  Sydney which should be outlawed,

I have witnessed this myself as they shout out "stop resisting" and use knee kicks to the ribs !!

Usually to some poor drunk who is NOT resistjng !

What other police force allow this !!!

Absolutely barbaric stuff ,it's almost like Sydney police learn this barbaric technique on their first day ,there is no need for knee kicks to ribs

I thought you were using a euphemism, when you said 'kneeing alleged offenders, particularly on Sydney '

I was going to say, So in Australia, they knee you in the Sydney's! :cheesy::cheesy:

I agree, that should be outlawed, it's painful.
