Wife made us have a look yesterday, thinking there would be some great opening specials, there wasn't, lol.

Identical to macro, including the same prices, identical to the baht, so much for giving macro some competition and maybe lowering prices..

We just got back. Lots of sales today. Plenty of free samples too. A bit more foreign content than makro, non-sale items about the same cost.

From the picture in the news article, it looks like the cheese department is run by Jagota and most likely the meat department as well then, which means way overpriced.

They run the same at big C extra, and to be honest I have never seen a customer at the cheese counter there

Any real competition to Makro would probably get the CP folks active to take remedial action very quickly.

I found the cheese island interesting as they had 3 different varieties of pepper jack cheese and other cheeses.

South of town really seems to be well supported with shopping for food and household stuff.....don't have much to the North.

The meat counter in Big C Pattaya Klang, especially beef, is way overpriced.

If you're talking about Big C Extra on klang, I disagree.  Cheapest prices for loads of stuff.
