Cheapest/Best Way to Water My Lawn? (not including water price)

To My Fellow Lawn Lovers:

 

Some of you may have a lawn to keep looking fit.

 

And, you know that the Raining Season has been at an end, since about several weeks.

 

And now, your lawn is beginning to look a bit brownish.

 

So then, you know you need to irrigate, Irrigate, and share your water with you lawn.

 

BUT, you don't know anything about

 

Hoses

Sprinklers, or...

Tinklers

 

Let us postulate that you might have a lawn of grass which needs watering.  Then, what is your best solution?

How big is your lawn?

 

Any obstructions to long-range sprinkler operation (trees)?

 

Are you prepared to dig it up to install pop-ups and their pipework?

 

Do you have a drought-resistant turf variety?

 

How is your water pressure? Need a pump?

 

In reality, a hose with one of those portable whizzy sprinkler units on the end has to be the cheapest / easiest solution.

You should start by learning how to use a hose.  After a year or two of practice you might advance to sprinklers, just might.

Cheapest way, stand there with your hose in your hand, talk to your grass, understand its needs, nurture it to be healthy and strong.

Hire a gardener. Labour is very cheap here so it doesn't cost much.

Yes but which whizzy sprinkler unit? There are just so many choices.  Oh I guess it is not such a serious matter to become greatly concerned about.  We can't really take an OP who does not know how to water a lawn seriously can we?

In Chiang Mai I used an adjustable circular sprinkler - cant find one on net. Not one that does big/small circle, one that does long to north short to south and medium to east/west. Totally adjustable to cover the entire lawn and garden beds no matter what shape it was. Maybe dont make them anymore.

BenStark may struggle but most others could manage it if they wished.

Water pressure is provided by a Jap Brand Pump.

Lawn is not huge like golf course. It is small, like two tennis courts.

No digging, please.

Not sure about draught-resistant grass. (But, if I do not water it during Hot Season, then I might know.)  Anyway, I like grass greener than brownish-green.)

So, if the option is for portable:  Which types are better?

I wonder, though, how to water a lawn with something like this.

Also, if I do not remove it each time I water the lawn, my lawn will look like a green shirt with  black pinstripes.

So, not sure if this is right for my lawn needs.

I have seen them in one of the big box stores, my guess would be HomePro. I wanted to add that they are not very good if pumping water from a pond or well. The porous material clogs up over time.

Are Dramm water sprinkler products any good....because I think I have seen this brand on Lazada....

 

For example...is this Good...or....Garbage?

And, the price appears to be rather high, too.

 

So...Price is TOO High on Lazada at this importer.

But, is it garbage or good?

And, what might be better and cheaper is all I am trying to learn...

We are lucky ,have a river at rear of the house , so just throw a pump

in with 3 " pipe on it , and move it around the garden ,give it a good

soak , problem is the hose is quite heavy and moving it around is not

so easy , and at the moment I have a bad back ,honest ,so the wife

has had to do it herself ....with a little help from me.
