He flew in to Thailand and days later had a heart condition that allows him to stay in an area that is far more comfortable than a prison cell, if he's even there at all...

Just google heart valve disease and see that he can live a normal life... so need to stay in  the hospital.. But he get his high bloodpressure pill every morning as medication and so case closed

Yet, Godfathers of the type seem to be able to conduct and manage their business from an unimagined ailing bed or behind the very secured curtain. Appears to be the case here. 

However the situation, anything Shinawatra still makes for lasting and stimulating news copy.....and particular circles are squeezing what they can. 

 

Wondering if we can stretch this outdated drama until the next general election. To be sure, there will be Shinawatras [one generation or another] in out midst and consciousness come that time. Part and parcel of the expected show.

It is not entirely impausible. My mother had a heart valve which failed when she was in her seventies. She was in hospital for several months until she was stable enough to be operated on to have it replaced - by a pigs heart valve actually. She lived for another sixteen years, although bacon sandwiches were off the menu!

A delegation from the Police Committee of the House of Representatives, led by its chairman Chaichana Dejdecho, an MP from Nakhon Si Thammarat and a Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party, visited the Police Hospital to check on the health of former Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

 

The delegation was guided by Police Lieutenant Colonel Samart Muangsiri, a doctor at the Police Hospital, and his team, who provided detailed explanations and responded to various inquiries.

 

Chaichana, along with Tipa Paweenasathien an MP from Lampang and the spokesperson for the Far-reaching Party, visited the Bhumibol Adulyadej 88 Anniversary Building. This facility serves as a treatment residence for the 74 year old former PM.

Chaichana requested permission to investigate the condition of Thaksin, which was later denied by the hospital, citing patient privacy rights.

Yes, if he actually had a heart valve condition, as rich as he is, he would have had the medical procedure done in Germany, Britain or even the US, he dang sure wouldn't wait and have it done in Thailand.

He's not allowed any visitors from what has been said previously by the police or the committee - if getting visitors that's against the rules, allegedly so he's getting special treatment
