Right, just blame it on her period. Sounds like she's just a biatch straight up regardless if she was on her period.....

Oh good, she has an excuse.    Does it mean we can look forward to more of these assaults every 28 days?    What a bitch. 😡

  • Kick her out, ignore the bribe she will undoubtedly offer. Good riddance to these so called tourist that are invading our islands.

No problem as I now identify as a  woman I too can have periods and babies  apparently, also useful as an excuse, perfect, now wheres the ladies changing room

And don't forget the delights of the regular internal examination for cervical cancer screening which you would be fully entitled to, along with a mammogram too if you wanted it.

Now I'm getting confused, who exactly does the island belong to?

Unless you've seen a video (and the one I saw didn't show it) that clearly shows the 'kick' then all you are basing your opinion on is hearsay and the typically poor Thai  reporting.   I doubt very much the kick was a full blown serious attack.

Also, I'm not sure what is up with some of you but that Russian woman is a lot hotter than the younger Thai she is alleged to have kicked.  Not that being more attractive and probably more cultured is an excuse, but I know which one I'd rather be in a relationship with.

hmmm,  an already  pregnant Thai woman or a crazy Russian, ?  that's a tough decision to have to make ,, I'd go with "none of the above" if that's an option

I suggest Alena,  the Russian lady, should walk around with a sign on her front and on her back, indicating when she is in period to warn the general public

Note tp Alena:  I'm not a gynecologist but I'd be happy to take a look (*_*).

Going by the angry expression I see on the face of every Russian I encounter here, I'd say that most of them are capable of replicating the actions of this hellcat.

I go down to the beach front almost every morning just to see the sour faced Russians,

however a male senior manager would be quite reluctant to dismiss the excuse in these "enlightened times"

I agree but it's not about enlightenment it's about fear of sexual discrimination accusations and damage to careers.   That's why, in my day, if that excuse ever raised it's ugly head the issue was automatically referred on to a female manager. When I was nursing 40% of all nurses were male that has now dropped to less than 10%. And 90% of all middle/upper managers in the NHS are female. Mainly because of 'positive' discrimination. and frank persecution of male managers.

The femoral artery passes through the groin. A kick in the groin to a heavily pregnant woman is a very serious assault

I agree also, it can be a bit worrying these days in the west, regarding certain services that one may require, especially of a medical nature. now that  quotas are required to be met, you can never be sure if the woman (or tranny) is the best person for the job  or if there position was granted as a purely box ticking exercise.

In Thailand one never knows if they got the job due to who their father is and / or how much money they were able to stump up

The discrimination against men as nurses starts at university level, I believe something like 80% of university students are female.  Exactly the same kind of discrimination that women used to face in male dominated jobs.

That should read "Will receive a prison sentence of two years and a fine of 40,000 baht.".

For kicking someone on the leg?

Exactly the opposite when it comes to Bricklayers though, could break their nails.

Same reason Mr Putin attacked Ukraine?

This period excuse or reason gets confirmed or debunked depending on the 'subject'??

My ex told me she were the same 24/7 whether having/not having a period, but ask them if in front of a female judge for causing a car accident would it matter if the female Judge were in the middle of her period or not!!

You can guess her answer....  My ex gave wild unpredictable Harridans a bad name, starting 15 days before her period and 25 years after.

I kid you not....

Racism? She is Russian and comments seem to be mostly objective assessment of normal Russian behavior, nothing racist about that. Zebra has its stripes, can't help.

I've only seen one report saying it was in the groin.  All recent reports say it was her leg.  Although as usual the reporting on things here is so imprecise we never get the actual facts.

They don't even define or explain what sort of kick it was - a frustrated little kick or a full blown leg sweep.   My money is on a her being frustrated and the kick not being that serious or hard.  But of course Thais love to exaggerate and blow things totally out of proportion.

Fine her the 40,000 baht and have her visa revoked.  Then she can immediately returned to Russia.  A blacklisting of five years wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Which means she thinks she can get away with anything.

Very cute but obviously a pig of a woman on the inside. Response should be swift. Just fast-track these undesirables out. Hoping a farang performs a high profile good deed soon (a headbutt to Takki or the smiling donkey would do it) to offset some of this bad press.

Asking someone to take off their shoes to enter a shop is stupid anyway.  I wouldn't want to have to undo my laces to remove my shoes, then have the hassle of putting them back on.  Doing that might take longer than I'm going to be in the damn shop.

id the shop provide seating for people to be able to sit down and take their shoes off?  Not everyone wars shoes that are easy to take on and off without sitting down.

From a report I found via Google - I've bolded the relevant bits.

Mrs Sathika says she asked the woman to remove her shoes and told her she couldn’t bring drinks into the shop. However, she says the Russian ignored her. When the shop owner repeated her request, the Russian woman replied that her shoes weren’t dirty.

However, Mrs Sathika stood her ground and insisted again that the woman remove her shoes. At this point, the Russian woman allegedly kicked her twice on her right leg, before walking out.

The Thai woman was left with light scratches on her leg and subsequently reported the matter to the police. She also shared the story on social media, posting the Russian woman’s photo, which was a screenshot from the shop’s CCTV camera.

The authorities were able to identify the culprit, named only as 41 year old Ms Alena, and invited her in for questioning. Yesterday, March 19, the Russian woman met with Ms Sathika at the police station and apologised to the Thai woman.

Her victim accepted the apology but still insisted on pressing charges. Police have charged the Russian woman with assault.

So you think the russian woman was right to assault a heavily pregnant Thai woman because you don't respect Thai custom and practice? You should not be in Thailand or any Asian country if you think your values and customs are more important

You mean one report that gave better and more detailed information than the usual sloppy bad reporting which is typical of the English  translated media. You are splitting hairs, a kick is a kick and can cause damage no matter what the intention.

Send her back to her home land to kick the Ruskies there.Couldn't she at least try a better excuse.

Blacklist her and fine her.

Actually I think it is more likely she knee'd the pregnant woman in the groin since she would have to step back to kick
