Popular Post Classic Ray Posted April 1, 2024 Popular Post Posted April 1, 2024 On the one hand he talks about liberalizing the law on one drug, alcohol (which benefits a few rich monopolistic families) and on the other he wants to tighten the law on cannabis (which only benefits the SMEs). I wonder why? 2 1

eumenades Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 There must have been people like this during 20s America. Equating sobriety with conservative middle-class values. Prohibition as the answer to all that Cheech and Chong nonsense, not to mention Freewheelin' Franklin. Marijuana as the root cause of all society's ills. Do you reckon opinions like this are genetic? Has he ever tried a puff? History repeats. (The photo below has obviously not finished its fermentation!) 2

They start early morning to come get their bottle of cannabis, hemp products, cigarette in the mouth, as these immature men need something like that to make them feel part of a crowds, and feel like men. And a lot of money is spent on these products. Just one seller close by here, bought a new Honda car, and a new motorbike as well. Men that are already immature, not wanting to take responsibility for their actions, even responsibility for children that they father along. Now the number of cannabis shops are on a course to surpass the number of 7-11 shops. I do not see anything good coming out of that in Thailand. Perhaps the government had good intentions at the onset of the liberalization of cannabis, and what they see makes them question their first decision... What a load of depressing banality. Lighten up for heaven's sake ! 2 1 1

But it is being globally over pushed on social media by foreigners espousing huge brocolli and other product sales and I think this attention was not anticipated and is not welcomed. Hopefully a less dramatic solution than Thaksin or Duerte ones in history.

Right, so before cannabis was legalized here, what you described simply didn't occur? Or since legalization, things have gone on a downhill slide? Or the only major real change was that they made sure for the nth consecutive election that those receiving the most votes and clear mandate from the population were disqualified on spurious reasons? Would that be a bigger impact that legalization of a plant? 1 1 1
