So why do these corrupt Russians get a 3 month visa?  Doesn't sound very neutral to me, why does this Govt. not send condolences to Ukraine when many people are killed by a bomb or Shot. Why did Clown

They are my least favorite people on earth. Thankfully I don't have to live on Phuket. Had I lived there, I would have left. Why do I dislike them so much?   I think it is partly a reflectio

I think it’s hard to argue Thailand has been neutral. Russians get 90 days automatic visa, Ukrainians get ? Right, a lot less.   More accurate to say that Thailand has milked every cent that

The Russian troll factory is working on all 4 cylinders. Wow!

I will try not to make Belgium a no visit country for me, but this was hard to read. I always looked at Belgians as sane and reasonable people, but what on god's green earth was this .. Probably not a Belgian at all.

You should visit US vassal state Belgium. We are home to numerous US troops, US military Headquarters, and about two dozens US nuclear missiles.

I am a real Belgian!

BTW, in my adventurous youth I even enlisted in the US Army and did an extended tour in VN.

You better get used to it they are taking over, or are they being paid to be here? when you look at the amount of new restaurants that have opened in last 12 months,

We went out last night for a few beers and something to eat, in a well known place it was full of Russians, I know the place is not owned by Russians,

In Rawai they have taken over a large area on the beach front, Is Title owned by Russians does anybody know?

As I said, Belgians are mostly a sane and reasonable people. Except a few, obviously.

With your CV, it's quite impressive to end up where you are now.

In Norway we also do have a few of you guys, who see Ukrainian nazis on broad daylight, and support invasions, rape and kidnapping of kids, terror bombings of civilians, and so on. That makes me ashamed.

Luckily you are too few to matter. But be careful what you wish for. Ww3 may be darn real, and that won't be pleasant for those who have chosen to side with Russia. It won't be pleasant for anyone.

They the Russians were the same in WW2 raping, pillaging, drinking all along the way, they have no morals.

Really? Well that's what you get when the soldiers are conscripts from the peasantry that were treated like dirt and had horrible lives till they died. I wonder how you would be if you had been one of them.

Yeh of course I'd rape and steal anything I could lay my hands on, while drunk, I mean who wouldn't.

It’s not just Phuket it’s all the island and most of them are working illegally as the don’t have WP but somehow the police and immigration turn a blind eye can only think it’s because Thailand is friendly with the like of both China and Russia and no doubt depends on Russian oil

Could be worse.

I'd swap Ruskies for the dross that has invaded Europe tomorrow.

Some or most are miserable they are hard work, only today I said to a Russian couple their first time in Thailand, "You smile" they smile, why so serious,

Applications for the premium Thailand Elite visa options have also been in high demand from Russian citizens looking to stay in Phuket, often with their families, for 5, 10 and 20 years. They’re here to stay.

Poor reporting. Not factual.

There are very few Russians with Elite ( Thai Privilege ) visas.

As of March 2024, there were only 1132 out of 36000. Just over 3%

And many of these nouveau-tourists are monied, allowing them, in some cases, to circumvent some of the paperwork required by others, aided by corrupt lawyers, officials and agents who ‘smooth’ over visa and business applications.“

Well … following different Farang chat groups, also for so-called „expats“, I get the feeling, those asking most for agents and circumventing paperwork, are the newbies from:

                             USA !

So - why should we expect, the Russians aren’t doing the same ?
