On Tuesday, chaos erupted in Soi Buakhao, Central Pattaya, when an unidentified Scotsman found himself in the unfortunate grip of a bizarre accident.

The trouble began earlier that night at a local bar. Heavily inebriated, the Scotsman had an altercation and was left to navigate his way home with a friend. The night took a dramatic turn when witnesses reported seeing the friend push the Scotsman into the street, directly in the path of an oncoming car.

Police officers arrived to find the injured man lying on the road, his condition worsened by his intoxication. Rescue workers made valiant efforts to assist but faced a challenging task as the Scotsman became increasingly belligerent, hurling abuse and resisting help.

Matcha Sirirom, who witnessed the incident, shared her account with authorities. According to her, the friend’s push was the catalyst for the unfortunate accident. As the vehicle struck the Scotsman, the friend hastily fled the scene, leaving the injured man alone and confused.

Matcha quickly called emergency services, who arrived swiftly but struggled to manage the agitated victim. Despite his resistance, paramedics eventually transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Local authorities are now thoroughly investigating the incident. Their primary focus is to identify the friend responsible for the push and to uncover the full details of the events leading up to the man's injury.

This incident has left many questions unanswered about the motives behind the friend’s actions and what exactly transpired that night.

As the investigation continues, the community awaits answers and hopes for a swift resolution to this unsettling incident.

No brawl, just a dodgy friend pushes his dodgy friend into the path of a car, it's what they do when drunk

  • A bit of news for you Scotland is part of Great Britain.

It mentions an altercation in the bar, but is that a brawl? I suppose brawl makes for a better headline, even though there is nothing at all in the report to back it up.

Hope he's ok. Brit's at their best.

On another subject: I was warned by a moderator for the use of the words "rubber jonny" yet the word p*ss is allowed twice on this subject.

Consistency please guys.

I am guessing that the warning was because you used it as a dig at the username of another poster.

Please don't try and educate the pratt. Let him continue with his ignorance. It's quite interesting to see some of the strong views of the average idiot now and again 😉

On the bright side soi Buakhao is so congested the cars can't go very fast. The victim should thank his lucky stars that he and his so called "friend" weren't at the train station.

Seems some here are in denial.

It was a brawl, between the 2 foreigners.

That's why the Scot ended up on the road, he was fighting.

These negative comments should remove, all the bloody comments I see regarding the negativity towards this news article, NOT those who wish all a good morning and have a nice day etc.

It's the moaners that get rewarded here again.

Maybe the friend was a ladyboy after his gold chain

That's a dangerous combination and people need to understand that getting drunk in bars is a high-risk activity

Done it thousands of times.

Do I get a trophy?

Getting drunk in a bar full of strangers or frienemies is the worst thing you can do.

Not if you can handle your drink, it is a lot of fun usually.

Plenty of worse things I can do.

The charge will be "Attempted Murder". The so-called "friend" will be jailed for a long time ... and then deported. He'll regret his stupidity.

You gotta be putting me on ...  Attempted murder, jailed long time, deported. Chances of this happening is between my  two good friends "Slim" and "Nun".

Did the rescue service call for a translator ?? 🤔

Almost every day we read about drunken British men. All over the world they have the same bad reputation: getting drunk and make trouble and fight. Once off they island, they have no limits. We had in the past the same problem with them: they came to Belgium, did get drunk and made trouble.

Strange people I say.....

I live in Thailand for many years, in a non touristic area with no real bars. When there is a problem, you can witness: it is with a BRITISH.

"You just call out my name
And you know, wherever I am
I'll come runnin'
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend."

Damm. That has put an earworm in my head today.

With thanks to Carole King.

This has to stop drunken farangs getting Pattaya the sin City of the world a bad reputation

More needs to be done to get better quality foreign tourists  and get Pattaya back as a family destination looking at Temples.

The beach good restaurants  and so on rather than bars ect

A concerned guest

This happened in Soi New Plaza between Soi Buakhaw and 2nd road. The report says the Emergency services arrived quickly and that is a lie. It happened opposite Maew burger and I had time to order and eat my burger and chips before the ambulance arrived.

It happened before I arrived but Maew did not mention that he was hit by a car only that another farang had decked him.

Thai’s rendition of ‘arriving quickly ‘ in Thai time. Anytime before sunrise is quick.

again piss poor reporting . Is there a damaged car or not ? A car that big can’t simply disappear into thin air.

Sounds like they were filming an episode for a remake of "Rab C. Nesbitt"... lol

Bring your friends close to you, your enemies even closer.
