I had been getting a yearly non o multi entry visa for being a parent of a Thai child. Mine expires in August but my next trip is in September.

I went to the website and it says the only option now is a single 90 day, no multi in the dropdown anymore.

I didn't see any announcement for them to remove this or even know when they changed it.

Is it possible to get another multi entry?

I know how to apply, I've done 2 before with the evisa site for multiple entry.

However, now the multi entry option is gone from the evisa site. It's only giving me the option to do singles.

They stopped it back toward the end of last year, all the multi-entry choices for Non-O based on retirement, Non-O based on marriage and Non-O based on raising thai children are just available as single entry now.

AFAIK there is no consulate that will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on raising thai child whether you have the 400K baht banked and the legal parental rights decree or not.

All the consulates will do is sell single entry

Well I must have been lucky as I received a multi entry non O based on retirement in Mar this year.

I'll find out if its legit on my first excursion out of Thailand in a few months time.  Interesting!

Will you share where you got a multi entry Non O based on Retirement?  I know some will be very interested.

The Royal Thai embassy in Manila said they will do the 1 year non-o family visa, but it has to be done in person.

Any recent experiences of obtaining a Non imm O multi at the Royal Thai embassy in Manila?

I have not applied yet. I'll need it before my longer trip in December.

However, with the DTV coming I may just opt for that instead on the basis of family.

Hi mate, I’m pretty much in same situation as you. Could you or someone reading this explain what the “DTV” is? Many thanks

I was not able to get the multi entry in Manila in the end.

Is there any way to get a multi entry still? I don't want to do the annual extension (mother won't sign the consent form).

Came in on a single visa this time, but have a lot of in/out flights coming up and don't want to buy a visa for each time I fly back.

Still won't be able to get a multi-entry VISA?

Please stop nonsense. Direct your posts to assist OP.

If he is over 50 he could obtain retirement extensions using an agent. Along with multi reentry permit might be an option.

Seems the wife is uncooperative.

The OP specifically asks about visas, not extensions, not about being over 50, so my post is totally relevant.

Whilst you have given an option, that does not detract from what I posted from being correct.

Please stop nonsense. (I must be allowed to say that, because you said it to me).

IF the OP is over 50 he can can obtain Non O VISA based on retirement even from visa exempt entry.

Seems he entered with Non O.

An agent can (perhaps) obtain extension based on retirement (if over 50)

So read the OP posts in thread and advise him of a plan.

No, sadly nowhere will now sell you a multi-entry VISA as you asked for in your post.

OP....you were advised more than 5 months ago this from Tod Daniels...

"AFAIK there is no consulate that will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on raising thai child whether you have the 400K baht banked and the legal parental rights decree or not.

Also this from myself .....

"Read again. Non O multi entry for Thai child not available..".

Then 5 months later you post....

"I was not able to get the multi entry in Manila in the end."

Time to look at alternatives, especially as you mentioned wife uncooperative.

I'm not over 50, so those visas don't help me unfortunately.

The embassy in Manila also wanted a letter from the mother consenting to me getting the visa. In addition they wanted an ARC card from the Philippines which I did not have.

On top of that, that would have only been the single entry visa anyway, so applying online with the e-visa would have been more efficient.

I'm considering on getting the DTV instead, but in the long run it would be as good as having the Non O incase I ever decided to go for PR or something down the road.

Thanks for the update.

Your last sentence suggests you might at some point wish to apply for Permant Residence in Thailand (PR). You need to have worked in Thailand for a minimum of 3 years to even apply but yet you state you come here on trips suggesting you don't work in Thailand.

Also to apply for the DTV, there is no family option. You can apply as a remote worker or you can apply under the second option "soft power" which requires you to have a confirmed medical appointment in Thailand or a course of some sort. If you prepare, you will get a DTV but it won't be on the basis of having a Thai child. DTV is a good bet.

I hope you find a solution.
