Monthly budget in Thailand

Key question is over what period of time are you talking about? A month, 3-6 months, a year, or the rest of your life? If you're talking long term, 31,000/mo is simply inadequate as there are too many variable expenses which will eat into your budget.

Inflation would change it. Need to add 1,000 to it every year.

What an insult to my dog, my dog eat better than an dirty falang.

Got fan on the balcony, and sleep inside in aircon room mid day, and also all night on his comfy clean bed.

Even run on a treadmill in my air-conditioned gym

I cook every meal and don’t pay rent. I don’t have a number but it’s way below your lowest one. I eat like a king too. Go on trips twice a month. Idk, I think people are just idiots, waste money all the time and most of it is to make themselves unhealthy too, that’s the crazy part.

Living healthy in Thailand is not cheap

I know some people who live on UK pensions, that, in my opinion are not too generous. My house, my cars, are all paid for. I have no bills except for electric that runs about 20,000 per month when we live there and about 11,000, while we are away. We have expenses for 3 staff that run about 40,000 per month. We have odd bills for car insurance 3 cars for a total of about 60,000 per annum or 5000 a month. I add it all up and it is 65000 per month in bills. I spend about 3 to 4 times that each month, averaged over the year. I spent 1 million baht last year on healthcare. Life has become very, very expensive in Thailand. I am away at the moment and can tell you there are other nice places which food and clothing etc are a fraction of the Thai prices.

which is more than enough [sarcasm alert] to cover all your clothing, footwear, eyewear, internet, entertainment, medical exams, emergency medical expenses, medications, health insurance, dental checkups, cavities, crowns, toiletries, cosmetics, haircuts, casualty losses (theft, mysterious disappearance), cleaning supplies, laundry, household appliances, cookware, computer replacement, cell phone upgrades and repairs, kitchen utensils, postage, import duties, and shipping fees for overseas purchases, visa renewals, visa photos, passport renewals, ATM fees, books, subscriptions, gifts, travel, public transportation, motor vehicle insurance and maintenance, vehicle registration, driver's license renewal, language courses, continuing education, recreational equipment maintenance and repair, cable TV, Netflix, streaming services, artwork, electricity, water (both drinking and municipal), bedding, pets, etc.

31,000 may look reasonable on paper, but I am pretty confident that you will find that budget to be constraining, especially if you are making long term plans. Your flippant reply about inflation, suggesting that factoring in a 3% annual increase was sufficient, made me think a 'gofundme' appeal may be in your future.

People do treat their dogs like their quasi children
