Above 70 y, no one should have a governmental decission position, only advisory.

Unlike most countries that derive their national integrity from a shared ethnicity  the US who consists from Immigrant population and hyphenated Americans (Greek Americans , German Americans Korean Americans etc) derives a big part of it's cohesion by a shared trust in out institutions.

An 18 year term limit, accountability to rules of conduct, and every President, Republican or Democrat , gets to appoint an equal number of new justices during their term to maintain an ideological balance. Sounds more like common sense than “radical left” to me.

 

Moreover, none of this can become law without at least some Republican support.

Yes, the USA should expand SCOTUS to 13 judges to match the 13 Judicial Districts. I'm not in favor of a term limit, but I am in favor of an age limit - maybe 70.

No. A drastically needed and long overdue reform. Most Americans would agree on term limits and age limits for the bench. I say 70, and 12 years max.

I certainly dont want a Potus to decide to take out the arbiters of the constitution simply because they don’t always agree with the Potus decisions!

Age has nothing to do with it .

Most progressives would be perfectly happy if the majority were 100 years old if the arbiters were passing  their preferred  decisions.
