In all fairness, and in an attempt to take an unbiased look at Trump's political career, I tried to come up with any things that he was actually good at and/or achieved during his presidency. So far, I haven't been able to come up with any.

 

It my view, he bungled the Covid pandemic, he cut taxes for the rich and the large corporations, he stacked the Supreme Court with unethical judges, he deregulated a lot of things that he shouldn't have, he turned the abortion situation in America into a complete spiraling mess, and his foreign policy attempts were disgraceful and atrocious. And I haven't even gotten to the bad stuff, yet...

Australia and New Zealand did pretty well, although the lockdowns caused a lot of angst. IIRC Thailand was not too bad too, which may be explained by the mask culture.

You could say Trump is good at delay. Most other guys, doing what he has done, would be behind bars by now.

Losing, bragging, lying. Although lying not really since his lies are many times clearly that, lies. There must be more he's good at like grifting, conning.

True. Anyone who can convince rubes to buy gold sneakers he has never worn, or Bibles he has never read, is a really good grifter.

Oh, one thing he did achieve is that the greatest number of American jobs were lost under Trump than any other president in history. Well, be good or at least be good at it, right? 

He was decent at debating Biden last month,  good at using superlatives,  definitely braver than most of the internet warriors here,  dodging bullets, banging porn stars, makes you laugh if you're not a prude, making and losing money...  Seems like a normal bloke with a ton of issues like most.

I can also recommend Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, this pretty much explains the American Zeitgeist, of which donald embodies, esp for someone from Queens.

I see zero attempt to be unbiased. It's just an excuse to rant about Trump.

You didn't mention any of the good things he did during his term, like not starting any wars. IMO that trumps anything else he did. I also liked he stuck it in Iran's eye, sabotaged the APAC, and gave financially naughty NATO members a good boot up the bum.

I wasn't aware he had a third wife- had to look it up.

 

He was certainly popular till his run for POTUS.

He seems to be extremely successful at getting people to talk about him, and getting headlines. That's something he's good at.

 

When Biden and Harris are long forgotten, people will still know who Trump was.

He backed the Stimulus relief, but failed to convince the Republican Party to agree.

As an outsider, IMO Trump epitomises the American abroad. Brash, arrogant, self opinionated, outspoken and very loud. Considers that America is the greatest country in the world and everyone should toe the American line.

IMO Trump IS what an American is, or used to be.
