FIRST ON FOX: A dozen Republican White House lawyers who served in the administrations of then-Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in her race against GOP nominee former President Donald Trump.

"We endorse Kamala Harris and support her election as President because we believe that returning former President Trump to office would threaten American democracy and undermine the rule of law in our country," the lawyers wrote in a letter that the signatories shared first with Fox News Digital.

Two things are striking:

Republicans with a brain don't like Trump. This includes policymakers under Reagan and Bush.

and .....

If you believe the polls, there aren't many Republicans with a brain.

A fairly damning condemnation of Trump, I should think, for anyone who's open-minded and rational.

There are no objective and open minds in the MAGA cult. Those few who were open and objective bailed long ago. The stupid is STRONG among the Trumpster Cultists.

Good common sense folks who have experience. Smart move.

His former Secretary of State tried to advise him, his former Secretary of Defense tried that, his former Chief of Staff tried that, his former attorney general tried that, a lot of his advisors tried that, and his national security advisor tried that. He never listened to any of them, he doesn't listen to anyone, he just does Donald.

Anybody who has a brain nose Trump is a big con. He’s a liar. He’s a cheat. He has no respect for anybody. Let himself he’s only running because he doesn’t wanna go to jail. He’s a convicted Fallon. Let’s go on and on.

An insight which has evidently failed to penetrate very deeply into the AN world.

Musk, Kennedy, Tulsi left the crooked Democrats. Everyone can see how bad they are now.

Trump will win now. Kennedy plus debates gives him victory.

Fallon is like a balloon I guess. Floating high in the sky.

The mere premise of the headlines stinks to high hell. Sorry, not banking on the opinions of good ole boy lawyers. I lived and worked (in government) in the United States under the Trump and Biden administrations and know firsthand that the latter has torn the country down… crapped on democracy and created the mockery that is being witnessed on a global scale… the EU, UK and AU ain't nothing to brag about either.

Anyone with a brain who actually performed a little due diligence would know Trump is an American patriot who continues to fight the good fight against the woke-ism that rots from within… all funded by the deep pockets that move toward the Marxist end in all aforementioned locations.

On that note, it’s dinner time.

Now this sounds like projection.

Not at all. Bush ( both ) dislikes Trump, so it's likely that people that worked for Bush also dislike Trump.

The biggest mistake Trump haters make is that they imagine all GOP are Trump supporters.

I always wonder about people that think lawyers have common sense.

I know some and that is not my opinion of them.

I would think the fact that 90 percent of 45's former cabinet members and even his Vice President didn't come to the Rep convention and won't endorse him would he a REAL red flag for the red hats. What the hell more do they need to wake them from their cult delusion?

Strange since people keep pointing out that many old gop hands are not going to vote for him. See the topic of this thread.

You missed the point. Again. Your defense of your guy has erased your objectivity. His NSA and his defense secretary were not lawyers. They were defense and national security experts. And he not only did not listen to them, he fired them because he did not like or want their advice. That makes him very, very dangerous.

My post was on topic about lawyers. Yours is by your own admission not about lawyers.

Your reply was in regard to this statement. There was one mention of a lawyer. Most were expert advisors.

Trump not listening to his advisers is a feature, not a bug, for his followers.

I don't know how much crazy the Trump cultists will accept. Even when he talks about Hannibal Lechter as if he were real, his followers are all in.

Perhaps a Trumper here could advise us how deep down into the rabbit hole they are willing to go. Are summary executions of political opponents a bridge too far?

The topic is about white house lawyers. Not my fault you keep trying to make it about off topic.

Great. You are the Topic Police now.

White House lawyers don't seem to support Trump, unless they are on payroll.

Why is that?

So, in a nutshell, anybody who has worked for Trump doesn't want anything to do with him.  Ringing endorsement, that.
