Calls for J.D. Vance to resign after he admits that he created pet-eating story about immigrants

Please keep this from @riclag

His hearing the truth will cause tears, enough to drown him.

This does show how gullible some people are, and how much facts matter these days..

This shows the desperation at Trump/Vance HQ.  It's not enough to label all immigrants as invaders and criminals, but that our pets are also in danger!  It's like they have a crew that spends day and night trying to make-up stuff that would freak Americans out.  We've got inside of two months to see more crazy sh*t from these people.  I'm still waiting to hear their narrative about the latest Trump assassination attempt.  They'll find a way to blame it on Harris or the Dems, regardless of whether it's true or not.  How can anyone believe these people?

Ohio's Republican governor denouncing Trump's "garbage."

Gov. DeWine shoots down rumor of Springfield migrants, calls it false 'piece of garbage'

Sept. 15, 2024

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine on Sunday denounced claims promoted by former President Donald Trump that Haitian immigrants are eating dogs and cats in Springfield, Ohio, calling them "hurtful" and "not helpful."

"There's a lot of garbage on the internet and this is a piece of garbage that was simply not true, there's no evidence of this at all," DeWine told ABC's "This Week." "These are positive influences on our community in Springfield and any comment about that otherwise I think is hurtful and is not helpful to the city of Springfield and the people of Springfield."

DeWine noted that there is no evidence of the claims spread by Trump, his running mate and Ohio Sen. JD Vance, and others, adding that the mayor of Springfield and the city's police chief have both said there is no evidence of any truth to them.

Possible Investigation into the whole matter, as I posted in previous comment.

Dewine is the governor , he’s not Yost,

the leading law enforcement official in the state , plus Yost is the state government legal advisor, with investigating power . Recently

he mentioned a recording which is inside the  OP .

Snopes ,reporters , City & state officials & news sources never never mention  this recording.

I can understand why some news outlets try to malign Yost cause he mentions to investigate everything  , as

I sourced in other comments.

“There’s a recorded police call from a witness who saw immigrants capturing geese for food in Springfield,” he said. “Citizens testified to City Council. These people would be competent witnesses in court. Why does the media find a carefully worded City Hall press release better evidence?”

I sure wish Kamala had looked at him and said,

Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?

My German gf long ago tried to teach me German language, and in the lessons was a little poem for basic learning.  It was something about geese being stolen, she said she remembers it from her own school days.  I'm wondering if that was the inspiration this piece of news.

Lots of Germans in that part of the US, y'know.

Why would Haitians want to leave Haiti? It must be a veritable paradise - all the population are descendants of black slaves and all the Government are black. No structural racism or white privilege to overcome. The sky is the limit as to what Haiti and individual Haitians can achieve.

People always emigrate to places where they can do better.

Same as your great grandparents.

This racism is so old school.

When I was a kid the story was Chinese people stealing ducks.

Traditionally in the US this kind of thing has been about Asians.

Trump Vance are going to lose Asian votes over this.

Not so many votes.  I live there.  I'm sitting there now.  The stories from your childhood are true.  And there's no stigma attached.

I can't post the link I want because it's blocked here.  The links I do have are "unapproved".   Tomorrow... When I arrive in BKK, I'll post it.

For a sneak preview, Google Lisa Montgomery.  She rescues ducks and geese in Ohio, for the past 10 years.

In any case, it's a hoot that they're still discussing Haitian migrant problems in Springfield.  Had there been no "cat" comments, nobody would be discussing the problems.  Trump couldn't have bought more exposure on a key campaign issue.

DeWine has a conflict of interest when it comes to talking about Haitian Migrants.

Their work is admirable, but his judgment may not be unbiased.

Do you believe that Haitians in Ohio are stealing geese or pets?

You live where?

In any case ducks, geese, and rabbits are not a taboo food in US culture.

Ducks and geese aren't pets though some people do have rabbit pets.

All are delicious.

Cats and dogs are taboo to eat in the US of course.

So to you its ok to inflame hatred and threats of violence against minority communities by inventing lying memes?
