Yes he can - by fixing what is the main cause of inflation.  As someone that studied Economics I can say that the current high interest rates after Covid was and is totally wrong. There are two types of inflation - demand lead and supply lead.  Demand lead inflation can be fixed by high interest rates - to dampen demand.
