Notifications not working properly

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Usually when you receive a notification of a reaction or reply to a post, you would click on the notification, and it would take you to the post in question.

Lately when clicking on the notification it will take you to anywhere in the thread, but certainly not to your post

Yep same here....very annoying.

Also the TOPICS feed is now on the LHS of the screen....have I switched that over by accident?

Yes this change seems to have happened today.......probably just have to get used to it......:whistling:

Lately when clicking on the notification it will take you to anywhere in the thread, but certainly not to your post - YES, same here. Very inconvenient.

TOPICS feed is now on the LHS of the screen - Does not really bother me. In fact, seems better.

Like the Green up arrow, cant we have a down arrow too?

Use the cursor buttons on your keyboard = much easier. Or mouse on the grey rectangle on the rights, same as any Windows page.

The Green button is HOME ie. back to the top. HOME on your keyboard does the same.

Thank you. Fn+End too does the same job - but one click on an arrow, is easier!

All depends on whether you prefer to use the mouse or keyboard.  The Green arrow only takes you back to the top, HOME, no good if you want t se a previous post a bit further up the page. Mouse wheel does the same as cursor.

Fn+End takes you to the bottom of the page.

I don't have this problem.

In the notification, be sure to click on the topic title, not on the day or the date or the time below the notification.

I think the entire notification is just one link - it does not matter where you click on a particular notification.

Just hover on one notification, you will see the entire notification highlight (Please correct me if I am wrong).

This problem still exists.

I double-checked this and you are right.

It works correctly for me, both on my Android phone and on my PC running on Windows. I can't understand why it does not work for you.

This has become an issue. Is it only for me, or is this a known issue?

Any workaround, please?

I'm seeing the same using Firefox and Win11.

To take you to the correct place in a thread try clicking on the address bar to highlight the  whole address and press enter.  It works for me.

Do you suspect that the change in the location of the topics feed and/or the presence of the green up arrow and/or the absence of a down arrow are related to the problem of the notifications not working properly on your computer?

Just my opinion-

The topics feed on the LHS is disconcerting. I used to read a post and when I got to the end, my eyes would kind of scan the topics feed on the RHS as I scrolled through.

Now it just feels more jumpy to me.

PS- I too get the jump anywhere on a thread when I click on a notification.

Tried it, but no luck yet.

Tried Chrome, Edge & Brave on Windows 11. Its the same. Seems like, there is no solution, ever. Just gotta live with it?

To me it looks more that couldn't be bothered any less about the issues. Have you seen any acknowledgement yet?

I've written a number of times to admin.....never ever had a response...(on any issue)

Well... we can keep repeating the most infamous mantra TiT TiT TiT TiT

Unfortunately, now the notifications has become useless. Pity, ther seem to be no solution to this.

I actually PREFER it this way.

Not knowing where I will end up has never bothered me.

Even if I knew where I would end up, I would probably prefer to be elsewhere, anyway.
