Shocking out come they weren’t even his steps and what decent man kicks a woman, angry men like him don’t deserve to live here!

There's been a retrial? I thought he got off!

Did he really kick her or was it a nudge to move her on? Why did she return after apologising on the first encounter, also the court initially found in his favour! If he did in fact actually kick her then he should pay the price of assault but somehow I believe there is more to this story! It does seem that he is an angry man if the reporting is factual but again we know how inaccurate & misleading reporting in Thailand can be. We also know the brown envelope scenario!!!

We have a case that happened over the week end in the UK. By one of our great, honest, decent members of parliament. Apparently he felt threatened so viciously beat a member of the public. Funny how the aggressor always blames the victim. https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/labour-mp-mike-amesbury-punch-video-cheshire-b2636907.html

If this was a Thai of equal standing not even a case…I thought he already paid for medical compensation if there were injuries?

Maybe she should go on workman’s compensation? If she can’t work? 😹

This guy is a lowlife street thug, and should be treated as such. Utter vermin.

I have always suspected the Swiss Man presence in Thailand as sinister, running what I would call a faux elephant sanctuary. Filled by supposed leased elephants "pigging" back on a real independent legitimate sanctuary of the same address.

To what end? Does he get the status of an NGO that shields him from immigration and Thai corporate laws? That might shield any wealth or funneling riches from government corruption oversight, ie., bribes.

If he were brought to trial a subpoena and deposition might reveal more about his wealth than he'd care to show, ie., at any cost?

The video was published everywhere. The Swiss guy abused the lady and kicked her in the back from behind at night in a dimly lit area. I think in most right people's minds, that's assault. A man kicking a woman from behind, in the back....she didn't even see it coming makes it even worse. To me, that's pretty much unconscionable. In my eyes he's a very nasty man and I really hope the doctor's appeal is successful.

Show me the kick

Are you not worried about defamation laws. He has been proven to be innocent thus far.

i think it likely that some physical contact took place which is technically assault but this is getting ridiculous, apologize and move on

He also has a road rage case against him, and unlawful possession of a gun case, this isn't his first rodeo, this guy needs to get punted. But I am still trying figure out how that hasn't happened already, as he was declared a public menace by immigration and politicians, he should already have been removed and backlisted.

Reminds me of that Pattaya well-known German guy years ago. Among other businesses he was running the huge Bavaria restaurant on Pattaya Walking Street (sea side).

The local Thai officials declared him persona non grata for some legal reasons and wanted him out of Pattaya and Thailand but the guy had powerful reach and it took quite a while until a provincial official with some leverage could force him to go back to his native Bavaria or wherever.

It's some years ago but, maybe, some old timers remember. No Internet and forum back then. The saga ran in the Pattaya English news tabloid.

Wasn't he labeled a threat to social peace by the immigrations office and the governor of the Province? He won his case, but I thought he was still being deported, or is that not so anymore?

How can he own a gun and a rifle, legally in Thailand being a Falung.

Maybe as protection against elephants????

The video was not clear... you weren't there, are you one of those that always blames the foreigner... I think you are.

He did repeatedly say "Get the <deleted> off" in a very threatening way for sitting on a step. What is his problem? I thought <deleted> off was even more offensive in Thailand than it is in the West.

I didn't see a kick. Did you?

In court it was said the evidence presented was from security CCTV.....so not this video ?????

I've search but cannot find anything re: the CCTV.

Yes he is guilty as in the first place he is rich (like all Swiss are) and he has a mansion on a prime beachfront location. One could thus suspect that this is enough to ignite rage and hate in the first place.

Outstanding news, the more difficult they can make this creeps life, the more this incident costs him in the way of treasure and public humiliation, the better. Some people forget that ultimately we are guests in this country, and we should all be treating the locals with respect. This guy is a lowlife street thug, and should be treated as such. Utter vermin.

You happen to know him?

I didn't see a kick. Did you?

I did not see a kick.

Do you suppose he is telling the truth when he says he was just walking out and accidentally slipped?

I did hear a distinctive “thud” just as he came near which is in perfect timing with a kick.

Obviously, the video is not conclusive evidence, however it reveals his aggressive disposition versus what he said in his testimony… that’s a lie in any court.

A big “thud“ in perfect timing, false testimony- in this case I’m just a guy with an educated opinion… what are you bringing to the table  (rhetorical question)

My real question- why do you suppose he lied?
