Emergency responders in Pattaya were called to assist a foreign man reportedly injured and acting erratically on a roadside near Nong Yai, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The Pattaya Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre received the alert just after midnight in the early hours of October 31, and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.

 

Upon arrival, they found a muscular British man, estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old, shirtless and wearing only black shorts and socks, with his shoes missing. The man, visibly injured with abrasions, was walking with a limp and appeared disoriented, shouting incoherently. Local residents, who had gathered to assist, offered him water while rescue personnel attempted to provide basic first aid and inquire about his condition. The man’s name has been withheld.

 

Witnesses reported that when rescue personnel arrived with flashing lights, the man became visibly agitated and shouted about being afraid of the police, eventually walking away along the railroad road in Nong Yai. Concerned for his safety, the rescue team alerted the local police to further investigate.

 

Mr. Chinnakorn Kantho, 24, who first encountered the man, explained, “I heard him shouting loudly and saw him walking into my shop. When I asked what was wrong, he seemed incoherent, so I offered him water and called for assistance. But as soon as he saw the rescue vehicle’s flashing lights, he seemed frightened and walked away, saying he was afraid of the police.”

 

Another resident who drove by recounted witnessing the shirtless foreigner walking along the road, shouting incoherently, and said he tried to offer help but was met with a similar reaction.

 

Local authorities are coordinating efforts to ensure his well-being.

There is no evidence to suggest the man is an illegal drug abuser .

There is no evidence to suggest the man has done anything illegal for that matter.

Yabba is always here.  Worse in the village's. Unfortunately the addict has to commit a crime before being arrested. Which means many deaths!! By then it's too lste. It's cheap! And has no age barriers. My wife's son has been in jail 3 times. Gun's knives etc.its very bad in the village now. And no hope of getting better. CORRUPTION is everywhere as we know.

I would not refer to this guy as scum as there are far more deserving cases. Young people are far more likely to experiment and I see a victim of that, he needs help.
