Russell Crowe, the acclaimed Australian actor and dedicated Thailand enthusiast, made headlines once again with his latest visit to Bangkok. On Wednesday evening, the Hollywood star shared a photo on social media, where he was seen alongside Jay Fai, the renowned Michelin-star chef, known for her iconic street food in Bangkok.

Speaking warmly of the chef, Crowe remarked, “She is an absolute rockstar!” on his X account, expressing his ongoing affection for the country. “Bangkok remains an exhilarating experience. So nice to be back in amazing Thailand!” he added, reflecting his long-standing admiration for the country's vibrant culture and culinary delights.

Crowe's affinity for Thailand first captured public attention in October 2021. While filming "The Greatest Beer Run Ever," he became something of a social media ambassador for Thailand, at a crucial time just before the country reopened to international visitors post-Covid lockdown on 1st November of that year.

His engaging tweets and photos featuring Thailand’s bustling streets and captivating landscapes garnered attention from his 2.7 million followers, boosting the nation's allure among global audiences.

During this period, Crowe shared a series of "Lost in Bangkok" posts that showcased his exploration of the city's diverse attractions, both well-known and hidden gems.

Though the actor had previously only transited through Bangkok, his newfound association with the city added a unique spotlight during a challenging recovery phase for its tourism industry.

Returning more than a year later, Crowe’s presence again underscores his fondness for the region. His impromptu return and enthusiastic sharing on social media are a testament to his ongoing role in spotlighting Bangkok’s cultural and culinary charms on a global stage, reported Bangkok Post.
