Thailand is gearing up to dangle a glittering economic carrot with a new stimulus package set to roll out by year’s end, stretching well into 2025. This ambitious plan aims to supercharge the country’s economy, injecting life into key sectors and rallying national growth.

In the corridors of power, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat revealed that the top-tier economic stimulus committee, chaired by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, will gather tomorrow, November 19. High on the agenda? Unveiling a hefty stimulus package destined to kick off by late 2024.

Julapun highlighted the need for a meticulous timeline, indicating that the measures would call for cross-ministry collaboration to unleash a wave of economic activity through various channels.

“The stimulus measures may be divided by sector and will include the cash handout scheme.”

AI verbal diarrhoea to say that we are meeting to try and find a way for people to spend money that they do not have.

But we will give some money to someone.

  • Popular Post

The usual nonsensical mumbo jumbo from the Thai hierarchy, couldn't organise a kindergarten party for 2 year olds.

"Thailand is gearing up to dangle a glittering economic carrot".  With this effusive imagery about dangling glittering carrots the AI program seems to be stuck on the settings for its last assignment which may have been to write the screenplay for a porno movie.

No specifics about these glittering carrots.  So we are none the wiser about what the government has announced.

How about just honor the 10,000 baht digital wallet you were elected on...oh, wait...

Same strategy in China and probably everywhere else in Asia.

And then the West will do the same again.

A bit like a tennis match.

East - West - East - West

The helicopter money era :D

I'm sorry but I do not understand this approach.

Government has money, government gives away money, populace spends money on useless items, less money comes back to government.

Wow! already gearing up to buy votes for the next election. The PTP are working overtime to ensure they remain in power.

The Thaksin family  inducements  usually end up  costing the country millions with little or no benlfit to the populace.

Vote buying and corruption appear to be the economic strategies of the Pheu Thai party, this should end well, not.

How come sex toys are banned but glittering carrots are not?😋

If you ask me, the "cash handout scheme" for votes is nothing but a carrot on a stick.
